There are places on Earth where your heart just sings, and it doesn't have to be where you were born. For me one of those places is the Atlantic coast of France—Haute-Normandie.

White cliffs, green grass, wild blackberry bushes, and dramatic weather changes in a matter of minutes—from bright sunshine to a real storm and rain that pours down on you like from a bucket, and then again—triumphant sun.

This little picture captures the impression of one such November day, a single walk along the coast from one small town to another.

You walk along the high bank on a path, your 🐕 running joyfully ahead, the grass is wet, the air 🌬️ like mineral water—tingling your skin. And then you descend into the town, go into a bar, and order a coffee and a shot of calva :-) And that is happiness ☀️

A little piece of that happiness gave birth to this small drawing. The original stays in my sketchbook, but museum-quality archival prints (in two sizes, both framed and unframed) are available.

When we decided to launch a printed t-shirt collection, our first thought was: wait, we don’t even wear printed tees ourselves. So what do people who buy them actually like? Without an obvious answer, we decided to simply create what we’d want to wear ourselves.

This engraving-style print is a fragment of historical Russian chintz — a unique mix of French and English influences, filtered through the naive charm of a traditional block printer. The delicate details shine on calm, muted backgrounds or in a classic black-and-white finish.

We chose two silhouettes for this piece of wearable art: a classic oversized drop-shoulder and a modern boxy cut. Both my parents were artists, so I guess I was supposed to follow in their footsteps. But somehow, I chose languages and literature instead.

Well… life had other plans and brought me right back to art.)))

I’ve been working in design for almost twenty years, and textile design has always been my favourite part of it.

For years, I would obsess over the collections of Pierre Frey, Robert Allen, Maharam and other icons of the textile world. I could spend hours staring at museum displays of antique textiles and carpets, soaking up colours, patterns, textures and all those little details.

And then, at some point, everything I had seen and absorbed over the years started to come out.
That’s how our own textile collection was born.

Some of the prints are based on 18th- and 19th-century woodblock prints. Others are completely my own. Some are a mix of the two.

But whatever their story, there’s one thing they all have in common: they are made with love — and they are all about warmth, joy and the beauty of life.

I have a feeling Pedro Almodóvar would appreciate this :-) Maybe you saw the result of his recent collaboration with Roche Bobois, where the iconic Mah Jong sofa ended up covered in something like posters for his films? A very obvious route they choose. But just imagine what we could create together with Almodóvar. People would have gasped 🤩

We live surrounded by the things we design and make ourselves. We create them for our own lives, but we believe that a sense of beauty is something worth sharing.

The same happened with lampshades. After working with fabrics for so many years, we somehow kept circling around the idea without fully stepping into it. And then, quite naturally, it finally happened — we realized we already had everything we needed to take it further.
