This month marks 11 years since I moved to Europe.
Sometimes I can’t believe how many versions of myself have existed since then.
I came here to study fashion illustration. Then I stopped painting. I moved countries, built a life in Berlin, got married, became a teacher, had Heihei by my side, and eventually found myself in Barcelona.
Then I became a mother.
And motherhood made me slow down and ask myself questions I had been avoiding for years.
What do I actually want?
What makes me feel like myself?
What kind of life do I want to create?
I still don’t have all the answers.
But I’ve learned that maybe we’re not supposed to.
Maybe life is less about becoming a final version of ourselves, and more about allowing ourselves to keep changing, exploring and coming back to what feels true.
For me, art has become part of that journey back to myself. 🤍
11 years, and still becoming.
What has changed in you over the years?
