Been a while whippersnappers!

Since you all know, I jumped back in the rat race last week and there's a slim chance that some of you might wonder what the f*ck is up at the Frost burial ground.

Rather semi okayish here.
Lot's of new stuff, heavy focus, you know the usual stuff when you start a new job that you've never ever done before.

Quick updates for the future projects.
This upcoming weekend, I'll finish up the next Sisu Frosties, since I finally got the missing incredient.
Mother of pearl from my familys lake house.

After that, I will dive head on to comissions, and about those...
.. Well you guys who comissioned a pipe from me, please reach me out again, cause for some f*cking reason, after I created my Varjona account here, my messages in Frost Pipes were wiped away.

So yay for that.

But long story short, I am still here and trying to figure my future out.

Fall is finally starting to show it's early marks here in Finland, and that season for me is the most inspirational time of the year!

All things are destined to end, and the time for Frost Pipes as it is and as it was, is now.

Sunday fun day.

Relaxing at the balcony and changing strings for "Miss Misery" and doing full maintenance.

Perfect.

Every time I look at my Brent Hinds Signature guitar strap, I feel kinda gloomy.
Life lost, never the music.
Songs last forever.

Enjoy your smokes, tie them to memories.
Create new ones and etch those in your hall of memories.

I think I need to write.
Need to compose.
Create.

Susanna left for the medieval fair for the weekend today, and I stayed home with our cats.

First time in years, since the last time I went to the holiest temple for us Finns alone, Sauna.
First time in years, since I sat alone in the heat of that place, all alone with only my thoughts as my company.

Then it finally hit me.
I'm less than a month away from closing down the workshop as it has been for the past seven years, for good.
Only two more available for all pipes to ever come to life, and then it's done.
Something I spent so long to create, will die in the form it molded through out the years.

Something, that started as a small experiment, which grow into a Leviathan I couldn't control anymore will seize to exist.

But why won't you try to find a balance, you could ask.
Why not something in between?

It's rather simple, because I just can't do that.
I've lied myself countless times that I can, but it's something that's impossible for me to achieve.

I don't consider myself as a pipe maker, but an artist.
And my art has always been reaching for the extreme methods.
Story telling, combined with the emotion and ex*****on.
All the way, or none at all.

And now let's get to these photos.
I believe in the old wisdom, about pictures tell more than a thousand words.

The past two years have been pretty rough.
Business, health and mental health wise.
Too much spiraling down at the same time, while trying to hold all the strings in my hands.
Something dark within has grown into me stronger than it has before.
Corrupting and devouring.
I've been wearing a death mask long before the end now.

So it's soon time to lift that heavy mask from my face and put it to rest.
Peel of the most of the darkness and start the mourning period.

I want to breathe free for a while, before I get back at occasional comissions, which I am so grateful to have quite a few.

The tide is closing in...
