We are closing the campaign by listening to FOCU ‘RANNI—the haunting physical-exclusive bonus track from ROSALÍA’s LUX. Much like the scent of Shinrin-Yoku, it’s a sensory experience reserved for those who value the tangible and the deep.
It is a haunting, rhythmic meditation that bridges the gap between deep earth and open air. FOCU ‘RANNI (Big Fire) isn’t about destruction, but the flickering warmth of presence. It’s a track that breathes; the production mimics the quiet, vibrating energy of a forest at dawn—pulse-like percussion that feels like footsteps on damp earth, layered with vocals that filter through the mix like light through a canopy.

Just as FOCU ‘RANNI invites a slow, intentional listening experience, Shinrin-Yoku invites a slow, intentional immersion. This scent is our invitation to the Japanese art of forest bathing.

What we are listening to this week: the latest offering from Soulwax. “Perfect We Are Not” emerges directly from their Abbey Road After Hours project. It was born from a unique session where the Belgian brothers took over the iconic London studio to capture something raw and live.

For the ravers at heart, this recording carries a deep, analog warmth. It feels like the perfect sonic anchor for The Base Note of our Instagram series.
