Brutalist table clock by Casper Kunstguss, Germany 1970
SHOP : WWW.NEST49.NET
Large brutalist table clock produced in Germany by Casper Kunstguss around 1970.
Sculptural model in cast aluminum with a strong texture, typical of the German brutalist aesthetic of the 1970s.
The circular dial features a deep radial relief reminiscent of a solar explosion or a mineral structure. The contrasting light aluminum hour markers accentuate the graphic effect. The entire piece rests on a solid, architecturally inspired base forming an arch.
Operates with one AA battery (quartz movement). Original manufacturer's label on the back.
