ROOM TO RENT

Due to expansion (so pleased for Chantelle from The Beauty Bee who is taking on a much bigger room in the building) we have a commercial room to rent, be ideal for a craft person wanting a base, or for those in wellbeing, or even just as an office. Room situated on the first floor within Le Hibou Chic in the heart of Bellac, lots of parking outside and we even have the lovely Le Cedre Salon De Thé onsite.

PUDDING CLUB

The next Pudding Club with Le Cedre Salon De Thé is on Tuesday 18th.

NEXT PUDDING CLUB NIGHT MARCH 18TH

Following the success of our first Pudding Club we are pleased to announce our next night on March 18th. Kirsti from Le Hibou Chic will be hosting the event once more and giving a history of each dessert.

More different puddings with a starter of 3 mini puddings followed by a pudding main course and a pudding dessert with coffee and handmade chocolates. Desserts this month will include lemon meringue pie, chocolate gateau and other wonderful puddings.

Price is 25€ a head.

A tough lesson was learned this morning.

Paint (of any colour) is not for eating 🙄

No children were harmed (much) and yes, social media content took priority 😂 he might learn 🤷🏼‍♀️

(I'm wondering if I can use this as a deterrent as and when he reaches an 'emo' phase?? 🤪)

Take it from me, Nordic Chic paints are child friendly (even if they try to eat them 🙈🙄🤷🏼‍♀️)

Whilst the sink may be the 'toy' of last week/month/forever 😩, the latest source of amusement is now paint (I guess it was only a matter of time 🤪).

Anyway, Ralph Lauren have come calling 😉

Turns out Ted's a dedicated follower of fashion 😏

(And his version cost about 8 cents 🤷🏼‍♀️😁).

Something old into something new.

This old ladder had been languishing in our barn, and the dining table needed better lighting.

So with the help of Nordic Chic Emerald Queen (again! I just can't get enough of it at the moment 😊), and Moroccan Green for the rungs, a mass of foliage with a splash of orange, and new bulbs, not only do we have a whole new dining experience, but that area of the house is totally transformed.

Sometimes the simplest of ideas have the biggest impact 😍

'Ooh I haven't seen one *that* size before' 😳

This 'super-sized' yolk has been one of those pieces that's 'grown a beard' - I've been looking at it for a while. It's in good condition and looked lovely with a coat of wax but, after a while, a 'coat of wax' becomes a bit, well, safe 😁

A lot of us have yolks left in properties when we buy them but most are shorter, stockier versions. This larger, more slender version needed to be seen.

Nordic Chic Emerald Queen, Olive, and Gold Glam and the perfect 'chunk' of wood to display it on, and voilà!

A talking point, a piece of history, a change of character for the room and definitely not 'safe'.

They say a builder's house is never finished.
Well, the same goes for someone that upcycles furniture 🙄

This substantial sideboard has been in our house for eight (!) years and, aside from only utilising the bottom half, it has remained totally untouched. It's such a monster that we've had to formulate the layout of downstairs around where we can fit the bloomin' thing. But, like *so* many of these large pieces, they're useful, so we tolerate them and accommodate them (because where else could I store my (growing!) gin collection to avoid judgement? 😳😂).
It was just so orange 🙄

Anyway, this week - finally - it was time!

Nordic Chic Petronella 😍, Queen Mauve, Copper foil, Top Coat and Black Wax. Job done ✅

The most satisfying bit? - Aside from actually getting it done!

Paint stripper on the hideous 'orange', brilliant finish varnish on the top 😁
Replaced with Nordic Chic Black Wax and a good dose of elbow grease to bring out the soft wax sheen.

Top quality paint makes any job so much easier. Nordic Chic is no exception.
