“I am a passionate collector of maquettes for panelling.”

For Guillaume Féau, these scale models are more than charming antiques, they are vivid archives of the decorative arts and a way of bringing ideas to life for clients.

Among the treasures of the collection are maquettes from the renowned house of Carlhian, celebrated decorators to high society during the Belle Époque.

One of these remarkable models is the maquette for the legendary bathroom designed by architect Bélanger for the actress and dancer Mademoiselle Dervieux around 1780, featuring an extraordinary Neo-Etruscan décor.

The second, featuring a magnificent domed interior, served as inspiration for the entrance of Villa Fiorentina, where Feau Boiseries reinstalled the original dome from the George Hoentschel collection, together with its remarkable panels and arabesque decoration.

Two maquettes, two stories, and a glimpse into the extraordinary savoir-faire of French decorative arts ❤️

A pair of extraordinary double doors dating to the 1780s, richly adorned with arabesques and discreetly erotic motifs, in the spirit of Bélanger and from the Rousseau brothers.

Rooted in the refined world of the French royal court, these exceptional doors embody the exquisite ornamental tradition of the era- created for the Crown, the King’s buildings, and the private pleasures of Marie-Antoinette ✨

In London’s Chelsea district, a patinated oak interior unfolds through a dialogue of horizontal grain, sculptural cornices with finely carved scarabs, an elegant expression of Pierre Yovanovitch’s distinctive approach to historic interiors 💚

On this Fourth of July, we celebrate the enduring ties between France and the United States, with relationships built not only through history, but through a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, culture, and artistic excellence.

Earlier this May, Féau Boiseries was honored to participate in Hidden Treasures: America and French Luxury: 250 Years of an Enduring Bond, the landmark exhibition presented by at The Shed in New York.

Féau Boiseries presented a carved wood panel from the Hôtel de Marlborough, the Paris residence acquired in 1922 by Consuelo Vanderbilt. This remarkable piece embodies a defining moment in transatlantic history, when American collectors looked to French artisans to create extraordinary interiors.

For more than a century, Féau Boiseries has continued this dialogue, preserving and recreating historically significant décors for collectors and institutions on both sides of the Atlantic. Today, with our New York showroom, we are proud to carry this shared heritage into the future ❤️

This Father’s Day, we celebrate the generations of fathers and sons who have shaped the history of our Maison, passing down not only a family legacy, but also a passion for craftsmanship and timeless beauty.

From Guy Feau to his son Joël Féau, and today to Guillaume and Angelique Féau, our Maison has always been built on the transmission of knowledge, dedication, and a shared love for exceptional interiors. We are proud to continue this family legacy, preserving and reinventing the art of boiserie for future generations ❤️

In Vogue’s latest tour of her Paris apartment, Tory Burch shares the story behind her dining room, created with Féau boiseries.

Inspired by 18th-century French interiors, the room features delicate parecloses chosen by Tory from our gypsotheque in Rue Laugier, along with hidden doors seamlessly integrated into the paneling.

It was a pleasure to collaborate with Tory, her husband, and the entire design team on bringing this space to life ❤️
