A while ago I posted about the pictures I made from the boys old comics. Well last Xmas I was at it again & made these biscuit tins from the same comics.
What a lot of work but I was really pleased with the outcome and the boys got a little bit of childhood nostalgia back too! ❤

Trying to declutter isn't easy sometimes!
I have a box full of old comics that were the boys when they were little. Both now 33 & almost 30 why do I still have this stuff?! Being a crafter though I saw the possibilities and instead of them going to the tip as intended they're now in my craft room and this picture was born! 😂
One of the most satisfying things about repurposing items is the emotional attachment you feel to your creation because of the personal memories it holds, be it of your loved ones or a favourite book etc. You've brought those times back to life again, no wonder you smile as you work!
I know I won't be too dismayed if this doesn't sell but if it does I've enough comics left to create another! 😉

So excited to be taking part in the Pop-up Christmas Shop at Le Hibou Chic!
I dropped some of my handmade items off with Kirsti yesterday and can't wait to return to see the Christmas shop set up and running and maybe sample a mince pie and mulled wine in the new café!
Take a trip to Bellac in the next few weeks and take a look at this amazing Aladdin's cave of a shop!

Hi, it's June here. Sorry I haven't been active on the page for a while but hope to be using it a lot more in the future to showcase not just my work but other people's too.
I've been busy in the craft room getting ready for the Marval Christmas Fair on November 25th and thought I would share some of my creations here.
I use European made decoupage papers and recycled book pages and vintage items. High quality canvas board is used for the pictures which are coated with a clear finishing coat for protection from dust.
Ceramic tiles are used for the coasters and a special clear heatproof & spill resistant finish is applied & they are backed with cork to prevent scratching & slipping.
If anyone who is too far away or not able to come to the fair then I am happy to take payment by Paypal & post items within mainland France. Postage & packing will be extra to the prices listed with the photos.

I've been feeling the frustration at the postal costs to the UK since Brexit. I hardly ever send my granddaughters things anymore & I hate giving money to Amazon.
The pre-orders for these advent book sets are flying out. My daughter Sarah will post anywhere in the UK for £1.50 (even include a gift message too). She can do this for anything from Usborne Books amazing catalogue.
It's a great way to beat the high delivery charges & support small independent business too!

I'm not saying that 4 weeks into the embroidery hoop challenge & I'm excellent at embroidery by any means but I think I could have a go at these!
I have so much lavender in the garden which I gather every year and seldom use. These would be fabulous gifts for friends & family.
All look fairly basic embroidery stitches (famous last words!)

Do you make New Year's resolutions?

Usually I don't but for the past 2 years I've been going to embark on this project and never got round to it so I am going to attempt to stick to it for 2022!

I love working with buttons and want to learn some embroidery stitches so it should be my perfect project!

Does anyone want to join me? A group to keep each other going perhaps?

D'habitude non mais depuis 2 ans je vais me lancer dans ce projet et je ne m'y suis jamais penché donc je vais essayer de m'y tenir pour 2022 !

J'adore travailler avec des boutons et je veux apprendre quelques points de broderie, ce devrait donc être mon projet parfait !

Est-ce que quelqu'un veut me rejoindre ? Un groupe pour s'entraider peut-être ?
