Ca roule assez lentement mais petit à petit, je commence à mettre en route mon atelier où je ferai principalement des coffrets haut de gamme et des petits objets d'art // It's coming along slowly but little by little, I'm beginning to get my workshop started. I will use it prinicipally to make high-quality boxes and small artistic objects.

This project from the City & Guilds Diploma in Furniture Making (at Newark College, Nottinghamshire in England) was my first ever table. Though a small piece, this exercise taught me a great deal about precision, the correct use of tools, decorative detail work and smart finishing.

This table was the final project of the City & Guilds Diploma Furniture Making (at Newark College, Nottinghamshire, England). We had a degree of flexibility regarding the design and choice of materials, so I decided to try my hardest to create a quality piece with an antique feel and an elephant centrepiece to provide a special present for my grandmother.

This flip-top circular table was made during the City & Guilds Diploma in Furniture Making (at Newark College, Nottinghamshire, England) and is based on a traditional design. I learned a great deal about using machines and jigs which has been essential to my development.

This triangular corner cabinet, made during the City & Guild Diploma in Furniture Making (at Newark College, Nottinghamshire, England) was designed to test out construction skills and introduce us to new and more difficult forms. I am proud to say that the decoration on the facade is, in fact, my first ever attempt at marquetry.
