Meet Dariusz Mizera — an exceptional double bassist, educator, and artistic soul whose career bridges continents and generations.

Born in Poland, Dariusz studied at the University of Music Frédéric Chopin in Warsaw, where his talent quickly drew international attention. He went on to perform as Principal Double Bass with leading orchestras across Europe — from the Warsaw Chamber Opera and Malmö Symphony Orchestra, to the Danish Concert Orchestra and the Opera of Zurich.

His artistry has illuminated the world’s great stages — from the Salzburg Festival to Menuhin Gstaad, Aix-en-Provence, and Lucerne — collaborating with ensembles such as the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, and Zürcher Kammerorchester.

A laureate of numerous international competitions, including the Bottesini Competition and the Yamaha Foundation Prize, Dariusz is also a double ECHO Klassik Award winner and a recipient of the Platinum Medal of Arts, Sciences & Lettres in Paris. 🏅

It was my pleasure to help him prepare, read, and refine his portfolio for the French Academy — and to travel to Paris to see him receive this remarkable honor. 🇫🇷

Beyond his brilliance as a performer, he is a mentor, coach, and guide — a man of great values, always there to listen and advise with kindness and wisdom. His philosophy is simple yet profound: « Music is not a function — it is a language of emotion. »

An artist, a teacher, and above all, a man of heart and vision.

I had the pleasure of guiding Maria Maddalena Barabaschi, founder of NOE9 Interiors + Architecture, through the application process for the Arts-Sciences-Lettres (asl) Medal in Paris.

She was proudly awarded the Vermeil Medal, a wonderful recognition of her remarkable talent and dedication to architecture and design.
I was very happy to be there for her and to share the gala evening in the Princess Eugénie Ballroom at the InterContinental Le Grand Hotel in Paris — a truly special celebration surrounded by inspiring people.

Her partner at NOE9, Luca Gralluzzo, and her husband, Fabio, were also there, sharing in this beautiful moment of pride and joy.
At the dinner table, Maria thanked me with such kind words and a warm, genuine smile — just as she always greets everyone, with grace and generosity.

Originally from Parma, Italy, and now based in Zurich, Maria holds a Master’s in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano and leads her international studio NOE9 Interiors + Architecture, bridging Milan and Zurich.

A beautiful soul and an inspiring architect, she continues to create spaces that reflect both emotion and elegance.

Trinity of Sound – Symbolic Reading by Marco Baragli

The Horse

This painting was chosen for the Trinity of Sound Project to enrich the dialogue between music and image, offering a sensorial journey into beauty, memory, and transformation.
In this image, the horse is not merely an animal: it is a symbol, an archetypal presence standing out in a dreamlike landscape, immersed in a vortex of colors that seem to vibrate like musical notes. Its stylized and powerful figure offers itself as a visual metaphor for the Trinity of Sound — Voice, Breath, Key — and becomes the protagonist of an inner journey, much like the one proposed in the musical project.

Voice, understood as the signature of the soul, finds its echo in the horse’s posture: the bowed head, as if listening to itself, suggests introspection, vulnerability, yet also dignity. It is a voice that does not shout, but whispers through color, becoming a silent confession, a song of being.

Breath, represented by the flute in the project, is evoked in the background of the image: a fluid, ethereal landscape made of spirals and shades that seem to move like wind or current. It is the invisible rhythm that animates the scene, the vital pulse that connects the horse to the world.

Finally, Key, embodied by the piano, is present in the very structure of the image: each brushstroke is precise, each contour intentional. The horse is sculpted with a decisive gesture, as if it had been “played” onto the canvas.
In this way, the image becomes a visual composition that reflects the musical philosophy of the project: a symbolic rite where each element — voice, breath, key — is present and in dialogue with the others. The horse, immersed in an abstract landscape, becomes a threshold between the visible and the invisible, between gesture and meaning. It is freedom, dream, vocation, nature, destiny. It is music that becomes color, and color that becomes soul.

I had the pleasure of helping Hajer Yaseen Albash, an Iraqi artist based in Doha, develop her professional art portfolio. I’m incredibly proud of her dedication, resilience, and passion throughout this journey. Hajer made a courageous decision to change her path from medicine to art, following her one true calling and transforming her lifelong love of drawing into a professional pursuit.

She now specializes in classical drawing and oil painting, creating works that beautifully blend artistic technique with deep psychological and emotional meaning. Her art has been featured in several exhibitions across Doha, including Katara Cultural Village, Place Vendôme, and The Ned Hotel, and she has collaborated on community projects promoting art and emotional awareness.

Her hard work and authenticity have been recognized internationally — she was recently awarded the Tin Medal by the Académie des Arts, Sciences et Lettres in Paris, a remarkable achievement that celebrates both her talent and commitment. Watching Hajer evolve as an artist and find her unique voice has been truly inspiring.

Claudia von Boch Receives Vermeil Medal in Paris 🏅

This weekend, Claudia von Boch was awarded the Vermeil Medal from the Arts, Sciences et Lettres Society in Paris — a well-deserved honor for her outstanding contributions to art.

I first discovered Claudia just a year ago and encouraged her to submit her work for this distinction. I had the privilege of guiding her through every step of the application, and seeing her dedication blossom has been deeply rewarding.

Claudia, a descendant of the renowned Villeroy & Boch family, is a gifted artist working in ceramics and painting. I met her at Art International, where her enthusiasm and genuine passion for creative expression left a strong impression on me. She splits her time between Pully, Switzerland, and Atelier Gaiia in Italy, producing works that resonate with curiosity, human connection, and an intimate appreciation of relationships.

In Claudia’s own words, she views art as a “silent wave” — each piece quietly bringing joy, connection, and well-being into a space. Her warmth, vision, and exceptional talent make her a shining presence in the art world.

My artwork “Faces” was selected for the Trinity of Sound project — a dialogue between music and image that invites reflection on beauty, memory, and transformation.
Curator and flutist Marco Baragli describes it as “an inner landscape, an energetic field where color becomes voice, breath, and gesture.”
Greens and blues evoke Breath — the fluid life of nature and spirit.
Yellow embodies Voice — light and vibration, the song of the soul.
Black represents the Key — intention, depth, and the structure of sound.
As in the project’s Symbolic Meditation on Chopin and Rachmaninov, this work becomes a visual score — a sensorial and symbolic journey where color transforms into sound, and sound becomes experience, reflecting the unity of Voice, Breath, and Key.

My artwork “Voyage” was chosen for the Trinity of Sound project — a dialogue between music and image inviting reflection on beauty, memory, and transformation.
According to curator and flutist Marco Baragli, the painting is “sound transformed into image,” giving visual form to the Trinity of Sound — Voice, Breath, Key.
Voice appears in the flowing ribbons and chromatic vortices across the lower part of the painting, expressing emotion, prayer, and memory — much like the soprano in the musical project.
Breath is suggested by the large sphere and layered bands, evoking rhythm, vitality, and the invisible pulse of life. It mirrors the flute’s role, animating the composition with movement and spirituality.
Key emerges in geometric structures and patterns, translating intention into visual order — like the piano transforming energy into structure and creativity into reality.
Together, these elements form a symbolic journey, where every color is sound, every shape is emotion, and the viewer is invited to experience the music through the canvas.
