Who said it was easy?

In this project in Paris 7th arrondissement, each sofa piping was ordered to match other details in the room.

Cushions echo the Pierre Frey window dressings. Curtain trimmings were hand-picked at Samuel & Sons. Rugs were custom-designed, each pompom colour hand-picked, each pile height measured 3 times.

Nothing happened by convenience. Nothing standard.

A curated furniture scheme is not a shopping list. It’s a series of decisions that build into a coherent whole. Every piece customised for what it brings to the room as a whole : weight, softness, scale, contrast. That coherence is what turns a shopping list into a home.

And it’s what us decorators have a passion for!

Subtle details for a feel-good atmosphere throughout the kitchen

1) In this project in Paris 7th arrondissement, a beautiful hand-painted ceiling feature welcomes guests in the entrance hall. Next to it, the semi-opened kitchen boasting noble materials needed to maintain clean lines - yet feel wholesome. A simple tweak: 2 oak frames with the same artwork as the entrance ceiling, as a link between both spaces.

2) A kitchen needs a place to sit: we drew a custom dining nook into the window bay.

Banquette with oak and leather chairs by , ceramic-topped custom table, delicate celadon window shade by , cushions by .

All framed by daylight, paired with a quieter paint palette and a reworked lighting scheme.

Why turn a bland entryway into a feel-good area?

The first 3 seconds when you step into a home are crucial. They set the tone. As a homeowner, it tells you “I am so glad to be home”. As a visitor, it says “Welcome, this is who your hosts are”.

In this nearly 200 sq.m. project in Paris 7th, what used to be a very cold white passageway became a gallery in its own right, anchored by a hand-painted ceiling commissioned for the space.

One can almost feel the wind blowing through the pine leaves. The brushwork softens the architecture and pulls the eye upward before the apartment fully unfolds. A plush custom-designed rug feels incredibly soft under your feet. Wood tones warm the space even further.

Sight, touch, smell : the 3 senses welcome you together.

What would your ideal entryway feel like ?

In the Dufrenoy project, the living and dining spaces were designed as a calm and curated whole.
Carefully selected furniture, artwork, and accessories structure each area without overloading the room.
Warm velvet curtains, an oval dining table, and an arc floor lamp bring softness and balance to the Haussmannian architecture. The apartment was delivered fully finished and move-in ready.
