How Thoughtful Reimagining Shapes Modern Living in a Paris Apartment

At our Avenue Mozart project in Paris 16th, the transformation was not about adding more, but about rethinking the relationship between spaces.

Once distant from the main living areas, the kitchen was reimagined to feel naturally connected to the life of the home — improving flow, circulation, and light throughout the apartment.

Yesterday, we shared a first glimpse of the before-and-after kitchen transformation. Today, we are following with the original and revised floor plans that brought the vision to life.

This before-and-after reveals a Modulnova kitchen combining bronze finishes, natural oak, and Carrara marble, softened with vintage Maison Jansen chairs from the 1950s and Lacanche appliances.

A balance of contemporary craftsmanship, Parisian elegance, and natural warmth — designed for everyday living.

A before and after from a family pied-à-terre on Paris’ Left Bank

Back to our Rue de Lille project, near the Musée d’Orsay in Paris 7ème.

Designed for an international family, this pied-à-terre brings together vintage inspiration, layered textures, color, and performance fabrics to create a home that feels elegant yet entirely livable for everyday family life.

The carousel also shares a glimpse of the renovation process: a wall removed to open and widen the space, giving the kitchen a more graceful, uninterrupted entrance, while a family room was created and a former bathroom reimagined as an additional guest bedroom.

A balance of Parisian character, comfort, and ease — designed to be enjoyed from the very first day.

From Fragmented Layout to a Composed Suite

On Boulevard Saint-Germain, this apartment required more than a visual update—it needed to function as a true pied-à-terre.

The original layout felt fragmented, with spaces that didn’t fully connect and limited storage. Instead of adding, we reworked the plan—improving circulation and integrating storage where it matters: a proper closet and discreet under-bed solutions.

Opening the space to the adjacent room allowed the apartment to read differently. What was once a series of disconnected areas now feels like a composed suite—balanced, practical, and easy to live in.

A Glimpse Behind the Doors of Parisian Grandeur

There is something quietly powerful about the architecture of turn-of-the-century Paris—where every detail speaks of craftsmanship, proportion, and enduring beauty.

Today, we share only a glimpse: architectural fragments, textures, and traces of history. The kind of details that set the tone long before one steps inside.

Built in 1900, this remarkable building rests within one of the city’s most prestigious neighborhoods. Beyond these doors, a new story begins to take shape—honoring its heritage while gently reimagining it for modern living, layered, refined, and considered.

Once again, a treasure hunt at Paul Bert Serpette—wandering slowly, guided by instinct and the quiet pull of beautiful things.

For our Champ-de-Mars project, inspired by Villa Kérylos and honoring the Art Deco spirit of this remarkable home, each discovery becomes part of a larger story—one shaped by form, proportion, and time.

Among the finds, a pair of exquisite lamps discovered at Lila K, adorned with classical scenes and rendered in a manner both refined and quietly exceptional.

Followed by selections for our Prés-aux-Clercs project—modern, quietly refined pieces—as well as a few thoughtful finds for our most recent project, a château in the Loiret.

To close the day, we came across exceptional and rare Paul Jouffroy armchairs with a steel base—perfect for our Prés-aux-Clercs project.

In places like these, sourcing becomes something more than selection—it becomes a way of seeing.

Through materials, wall fabrics, and carefully considered selections,
we begin to introduce a new layer—
one that brings ease, refinement, and a modern sensibility to a historic home.

This approach to château renovation is not about contrast, but continuity—
allowing heritage and contemporary living to exist in harmony.

A home should evolve gracefully, meaningfully—
bridging past and present through thoughtful design.

This is only the beginning.
