In early winter 2017, I started looking at what I could make recycled wood and metal which was in my husband’s workshop. I’ve alway crafted but wanted to try something different, initially made a couple of bits and pieces and then discovered that I could re-use old woode beams and rafters, skirting boards and even unloved pallets to make small ‘wee’ houses!
All the wee houses are handmade from old wood, nails and roofing tacks - which I sand, paint and wax. The wee houses are now being added to and I am now creating new styles to reflect the seasons, taking inspiration from local villages both inland and on the coast in Aberdeenshire and the surrounding countryside.
