Today I swapped the studio for the classroom. 📚✏️
(And I get the song from Grease 2 out of my back - Back to School!)

I was invited by Developing the Young Workforce to run a workshop at Bucksburn Academy, with the S3 Creative Pathways students, taking them through a live design brief from concept to presentation.

Mood boards, sketching, big ideas and plenty of creativity. It was brilliant to see how differently each student approached the same challenge.💪🏻

A reminder that there isn’t one “right” answer in design — that’s what makes it so interesting.💡

Lots of sample sourcing lately for a really exciting hospitality project 👀

Looking at everything from kitchens & flooring to paint colours and window dressings for some holiday cottages opening this summer. 🎨🖼️

I just love this part of the process when you get to pull all the little details together and have them spread out as one to see how they are all going to pull together for the final look! 🧡

Same space, three directions.🟤🟠🟢

Subtle shifts in colour, texture and detail — but each one lands slightly differently.
Pretty similar at first glance but small shifts can completely change how the space feels. Mood boards are simple but I feel they are essential in the design process in getting the right feel early on🧡

Great way to spend my Friday evening at the Awards — and even better to come away with Best Interior alongside the brilliant Richard for VOVEM 2.0!

We were also honoured to then receive a commendation in the same category for another project we collaborated on.

It’s been great to be working alongside Richard since Cushion began nearly 2 years ago. Huge thanks to everyone involved in bringing these projects to life. It was great to have clients and contractors on our table to share the celebrations with🍾🥂And lovely to bump into some old friends!

✨ Feeling very grateful (and slightly tired from the celebrations).

From render to reality 🍦

Great to finally see this Mackie’s Ice Cream project finished on site at the start of this week. The original visuals for this were created almost two years ago and one of the first projects got to work on, so it’s brilliant to now compare the renders with the real-life photos of the completed space.

Seeing them side by side is always a good reminder of how useful visualisations can be in the early stages of a project — helping bring designs to life and giving everyone a clear picture of what the finished result will look like long before it’s built.
A great one to be involved in, and even better to see it now fully realised.

Week 2 on site for this ice cream parlour refurb with and the transformation is well underway 🍦

Huge credit to the team for the pace and quality of work — this project has a strict 3-week site programme, so it’s been a fast turnaround to bring everything together.

Just one more week to go before opening next week. Final details going in now with … just in time before the first scoops are served!🍦🧡

It’s been a minute. Quiet on here. Not quiet in real life!

The start of the year has been full — in the best way.
New projects, site days, big decisions and lots happening behind the scenes.

Currently on site with a new project and making sure everyone knows who’s responsible for the interiors 😉

This year has been full of creativity, problem-solving, late nights, site visits, mood boards, samples, and some truly awesome transformations.

Looking back at these projects reminds me how much collaboration really matters. To every client who trusted me with their project and vision — thank you. It’s a privilege to design these spaces while getting to do something so cool like this for a job!

A huge shoutout to all the people I’ve had the chance to work with in 2025 — contractors, trades, suppliers, installers and collaborators. Your skill, patience and problem-solving are what turn ideas into real spaces. I’m so grateful to work with such brilliant people! 🙌🏻
