Placing an order with AngelK Weddings:

After we discussed your flowers and we've come up with a design you're happy with, I will send you an official quote via email, outlining everything we've discussed with my terms and conditions. It's your responsibility to read through these T&C's thoroughly, as they are the contract which we BOTH adhere to. This quote is only open f

or 7 days...If I don't hear back from you after sending the quote, I will contact you to ensure you have received it.. If after 7 days you have not replied, the quote is deemed as closed and you will receive a QUOTE CLOSED message.

***You are free to contact me after this, to reopen your quote , and I will resend it Again, you will have 7 days to agree and pay the deposit. I then send out a PayPal invoice for the booking fee which in most cases is 30% of the total order. WHEN AND ONLY WHEN this is paid, you are booked in and you have secured your space in my order book. The booking fee is non refundable. I'm in the very lucky position to be very busy, and my order book fills up quickly, usually several months in advance.. Therefore, orders are taken on a first come first served basis and I will not hold spaces for clients unless all the above as been adhered too. If you really want to book with me but have still to sort out colours etc, it's not a problem, you can book and pay the deposit and contact me when the colours have been finalised ...I'm very easy going and happy to help in these situations....as long as it's in good time to make your bouquets !!! So, where did AngelK come from?

A question I’m asked surprisingly often!

My name is Kate Angel, and when I started my business I wanted to call it Kate Angel Designs.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the name, so I had to come up with something else.

And that’s how AngelK was born — Angel, my surname, and K for Kate.

Simple!

Although there is one thing I probably need to clarify…
Lots of people thing it’s ’Angela k Weddings !!!

I’m not Angela.

Not Angela.
Not Angie.
Just Kate.

I’m called Angela so often that I’ve genuinely considered just answering to it. At this point, I probably would if someone shouted it loudly enough!

So now you know…

This is not an attack… just an observation!!

When you’re planning a wedding and asking for photographer recommendations, florist recommendations, cake makers, dress makers, makeup artists… okay, really, any and all trades that provide wedding services, please think before you add “reasonable” and “that don’t cost an arm and a leg” to your vocabulary.

I completely understand that weddings have budgets. We all have one, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with saying, “My budget is £X — can anyone recommend someone within that?”

But there is a difference between “this is outside my budget” and “this is unreasonable.”

1. I can’t pay my mortgage with limbs, so I’ve never accepted them as payment.

2. By “reasonable”, you actually mean “within my budget”, so say what your budget is instead. Someone’s rate isn’t unreasonable simply because you aren’t willing or able to pay it.

3. Consider the ability, professionalism and experience of the suppliers whose costs are higher. Are they insured? Do they pay their taxes? Are they trained? Do they have years of experience behind them? Are they excellent at what they do?

Their fee will be higher …. and it should be.

Professionals charge more than someone with limited or no training, or someone who does it as a hobby. There are costs involved in running a legitimate business that aren’t always visible from the outside.

That doesn’t mean you have to use their services if they’re outside your budget. Of course not.

Choose the supplier who fits your budget and gives you what you’re looking for.

But perhaps instead of describing a professional’s prices as “unreasonable” or asking for someone who “doesn’t cost an arm and a leg”, simply tell people what you have available to spend.

It’s kinder, it’s clearer, and it saves everyone’s time.

There is a supplier out there for every budget, but please remember that behind every price is a person, a business and a lot more than just the product or service you see on the day.

And sometimes, you really do get what you pay for!!
