Something a little different from Jenstarknits...
I’ve been experimenting with ways to use yarn beyond knitting and this is the result – my first piece of geometric yarn art.
Created using a wrapping and weaving technique, I’ve combined rich teal blue with variegated charcoal grey to create the pattern and texture. It’s also a great way to make use of those smaller amounts of beautiful yarn left over from other projects.
Mounted in a modern white 16cm x 16cm frame, it can be hung or displayed freestanding – and in either direction, as there’s no right way up.
This one-of-a-kind piece is now available in my Folksy shop for £20.
Should I make some more? I already have ideas for other colour combinations...
