ABIDE From the Highland landscape, into the inspired home.

ABIDE products are handmade in Aberfeldy by Product Designer Steven Hunt out of sustainable, natural materials from Highland Perthshire and Scotland. Wind blown hardwoods are brought together with reclaimed Scotch Slates, reworked, reimagined, and given a new life - bringing a sense of comfort, wellbeing, and energy into the home from the wild landscapes around us. Made to last, ABIDE trivets, pot

stands and coasters are fully oiled, food safe, wipe clean, and water and heat resistant - ready for everything from serving a steaming platter or a dram to friends and family, or mounting candles, foraged plants or treasured objects. Whether presented as a gift on a landmark occasion or purchased for your own home, each ABIDE product is as timeless and unique as each piece of hundreds of years old wood or millions of years old stone it is carefully crafted from.

This series of 3 ancient Yew and Scotch slate trivets must be some of the most spectacular I have made yet.

A flame of red in the main body, with swirling browns and pale greys in the bark, and then the deep black of the slate.

Available now on Etsy - link in bio.

Excited to be participating in the The Old Mill, Killin craft fair which will be running all the way until November! In the historic mill right next to the Falls Of Dochart, there are lots of lovely things from local makers there, and I think the wood and slate Coorie Trivets, mini-plinths and jumbo coasters fit right in! 🤗

ABIDE products are also available in Windows The Gift Shop, Thyme Deli & Bistro AND also Etsy (link in bio) if you don’t happen to live in the Upper Tay area - but if you do, please support local businesses and buy from them!
