nd planted by Sarah Price. Host workshops with painters, print-makers, textile artists, writers and musicians. Organise life drawing days for artists to do their practice - with no tutor but the occasional masterclass.

2 DAY WALLPAPER PRINTING MASTERCLASS with JUSTYNA MEDON aka Addicted to Patterns Studio

Wednesday 23 - Thursday 24 September • 10am - 4pm
Upstairs at the Chapel

During this workshop you’ll create a one-of-a-kind wallpaper while also learning basic block printing and four-way repeat pattern design techniques.

Suitable for ALL LEVELS! This workshop will help you understand the art of wallpaper decoration through experimenting with a block printing technique, colour and form. All under Justyna’s gentle guidance and expertise.

£185 includes a delicious lunch at the Chapel, refreshments and all tools & materials.

Justyna Medon is a surface designer specialising in custom hand-printed collections of wall hangings, textiles and artefacts. After graduating from London College of Communication in 2010, Justyna’s focus was to share her passion for printmaking and to create illustrative patterns that tell the story. In her wallpaper dedicated research she explores historic prints, pigments and embossing technique.

Oh to be a fairy in a Cornelia O’Donovan painting 🌳🧚‍♀️

Part 2 of our Mixed Summer Show is open now at The Art Shop. A fresh selection of artworks and ceramics celebrating garden flora and foliage, landscapes and birds including this NEW series of oil paintings by Cornelia O’Donovan MA RCA.

Cornelia plays with old folklore and poetry, but in a loose and dreamlike way. She draws particularly on tales native to the British Isles, especially Celtic poetry and myth. Her paintings are flat, stripped of all perspective or realism, their surfaces hazy and meandering like an old tale retold a thousand times.

This time we will be making a Shoulder Basket using a Catalan style base. A beautiful and robust basket to use as a handbag, lunch basket or forager.

New collection of handthrown stoneware ceramics by Tarragon Smith, on display upstairs at The Art Shop.

Tarragon Smith

Shown here and working beautifully with multimedia drawings by Kim Atkinson and handbuilt bowls by N I C O L A G I L L I S in our Mixed Summer Show - Part 2.

Tarragon was born in Canada, on the banks of the Cataraqui River. Water remains an integral part of his life and work. He crossed an ocean to London to take his MFA in painting from Central Saint Martins, and has remained in the UK ever since.
