Creating this bouquet was incredibly special to me. It wasn’t just for a bride, it was for the wedding of two very dear friends, Paddy and Rhian.

Knowing that Paddy is no longer with us makes these flowers even more meaningful, and it was an honour to play a small part in their beautiful day. 💐

The bride wanted an unstructured, garden‑style hand‑tied bouquet, full of movement and natural texture. I chose:

- Fatsia leaves to frame the bouquet with bold, sculptural edges
- Cordyline leaves for clean, flexible lines
- Ruscus to bring soft movement
- Eucalyptus for a shift in tone and depth
- Rosemary as a gentle symbol of remembrance
- Hypericum berries for texture and interest
- Lisianthus for delicate blooms that echoed the soft tones in her dress

A bouquet filled with meaning, memory, and love; just like the couple it was made for 🤍

🚨Save this for the next time you buy flowers; it could help keep your pet safe!!!

This week, I was reminded to pay closer attention to the plants I bring into my home.

🌱Do you know which flowers you currently have in your house, and whether they’re pet-safe?

Many popular flowers are beautiful, but some can be toxic to cats and dogs if chewed or ingested. It’s not something everyone thinks about when picking up a bouquet.

Luna normally ignores my flowers, but recently she decided to investigate my tulips a little more closely. They were a gift, and since she’d never shown interest before, I didn’t think much of it… but it was a reminder that pets can be unpredictable.

Thankfully, Luna is absolutely fine. Still, it made me wonder how many of us bring flowers into our homes without checking whether they could pose a risk.

There’s no need to panic or avoid buying flowers altogether. Many pets won’t touch them. However, if you have a curious pet or one that likes to nibble, it’s worth doing a quick check to see if a plant is safe and placing any risky ones out of reach.

See the next picture for a list of some of the most common flowers that can pose a risk.

However, a quick online search can give you plenty of reliable guidance to help keep your cats, dogs, and other pets safe while still enjoying fresh flowers in your home.

Moral of the story, never stop watching your pets and be mindful of what flowers you have 🫣

Save or share this with someone who might not know!

Oh I loved designing this one 🌸 It was just an experiment 😍

Protea and Australian blooms, twisted willow for a sculptural base, and a red-streaked bowl to echo the protea tones and balance the blues.

I kept the stems upright in a European style and layered textures and heights to guide the eye through the arrangement.

What do you think?

The King & I | Abergavenny Flower Society🌸

The design represents ‘the Dancing King and Anna;’ Strength and authority, balanced with grace and femininity.

I leaned into elaborate golds and rich, regal tones to reflect the King and the Palace, using sprayed dried palm fronds in gold for drama and structure.

To soften the design and represent Anna’s feminine influence, I added deep pink roses and lilies, bringing warmth and movement into the piece 🌺

Green palm leaves were chosen for an exotic feel, while aspidistra leaves anchored the arrangement with bold, strong lines.

The base tells its own story:

✨ Gold fabric draped over the board to set a royal stage

✨ Upside-down tealights transformed into palace turrets

✨ A gold Buddha to symbolise Siam and to complete the sense of peace

A musical brought to life through flowers, texture, and symbolism 🎶🌿

🌷 Arranging Tulips? Read this first 🌷

Whether you just grabbed a bunch from the market or you’ve got an arrangement you want to maintain, here are 5 things you NEED to know about Tulips and my tips to keep them looking fresher for longer; because who doesn’t want their Tulips to last?

1. Keep turning your Tulips
2. Tulips keep growing when in water
3. Strip leaves before putting in water
4. Fresh water, always
5. Don’t mix Tulips & Daffodils

✨ Save this for later & let me know, do you love Tulips for their wild movement, or do they secretly drive you mad?

Sometimes, simplicity is all you need!

One of my recent favourites 🌷

I chose a mix of colours for this arrangement, but honestly, most flowers work beautifully with this kind of styling. It’s a reminder that floral design doesn’t always have to be about complex structures or elaborate installations. With spring just around the corner, simple yet thoughtful arrangements like this can completely lift a space and bring a sense of freshness into your home.

If you have a vase, vessel, or decorative piece you love, I also offer a *bring-your-own* service; where you bring the item, and I design a bespoke arrangement built around it. A lovely way to give new life to pieces you already own ✨

What I’m offering 🌷🪻

It’s only been a couple of days since I started this page, and I’ve already had a few messages asking what I’ll be offering; so I thought I’d share a little more here.

I like to call them ‘floral moments’ thoughtful, one-of-a-kind designs tailored to each individual and their needs. I’ll be creating seasonal pieces such as wreaths and easter arrangements, alongside everyday designs like bouquets.

What makes my work a little different is that most pieces will be made to order. While I’ll have a small selection of pre-made designs available throughout the year, the majority of my work will be created just for you, when you need it.

This approach allows me to keep growing, experimenting, and expanding what I offer, while ensuring every piece feels personal and meaningful.

I’ll also be introducing new offerings over the coming months, so keep an eye out 🤍

If you’re interested in having a floral arrangement designed only for you, dm or email me now, my books are open 💌

I’ve been spending some time lately looking back through old photos and designs from the early days and it’s stirred up more emotions than I expected.

I’ve always loved flowers but my passion came from design, specifically the principles. I was fascinated by structure, height and depth, and when done right, it led to the ‘perfect balance.’ Arranging gave me the ultimate challenge, because no two flowers or foliage are the same, so i was forced to understand not only how to balance but how to work with colour, texture, shape and much more, all while working at speed - At the end of the day you are working with something that has a short life span and is extremely sensitive to its environment. A challenge I love ❤️

Now, over 40 years later, I can honestly say I still love flowers and arranging just as much as I did back then. From entering competitions and pushing myself creatively, to designing for weddings, special events, and one-of-a-kind custom arrangements, I really did a little bit of everything, which has led me here.

🪻These are just a few examples of what I’ve done in the past, and you can probably tell I was a fan of Cala Lilies and Anthuriums, well honestly I still am 🫢

I’m excited to see what challenges come my way!
