Hug’s from the start.
Hugs from Craiglour started with a teddy bear, 4 sheep and some saved glass jars.
When my health started to fail I was determined not to give in so I needed something to do whilst resting. I’ve always had a love of crafts and colour. After I made a birthday gift of a teddy bear, I received a plea for some sheep from the local minister - followed by too many glass jars being saved for a Christmas Messy Church and so this colourful journey began.
Once people started seeing my painted glass and toys the requests of could you paint a …. or could you make a … started to follow. My garage was turned into a workshop and an oven was installed so I could bake the glass after painting. This fixes the special paints so the glass can be washed as normal. The painted glass is then not just pretty it can be used.
Dream & Luck catchers came next and can be made with the colours and charms of your choice. More recently silk flowers and air-dry clay have been added to this mix and my hands can’t keep up with my imagination.
