Found this festive dried fruit and spice wreath and thought it needed a touch of colour. Not sure quite how old the wreath is but it does not smell as much now. Not to worry because the beauty of clay is that you can add a couple of drops of essential oil to the back and infuse the room with in this case delicious spiced aroma.

Never feel at ease talking about my small business but if I don’t, who will?

Putting on paper, in this case on Instagram, what my clay business is all about is an exercise I find difficult but I am determined to come out of my comfort zone and challenge myself.

I thoroughly enjoy what I do and make, and hope you’ll enjoy this little journey with me.

Stepping into the …ber months dancing grateful for the warm and wonderful summer and looking forward to getting cosy and warm at home.

The days are merging into one at the moment and whilst I try to slow down, I know only too well what is left to be done before November ends.

Eager to manage the Christmas season with a little less stress and with a couple of markets coming up, September will be busy but there will be time for a family visit in France and a few days back in Germany visiting Friends.

From a hot summer to a cosy autumn. That transition period when it is the end of August and your head is still on summer mode but the weather outside is saying something else. Finding myself watching leaves fall and quite enjoying it. Less enjoyable is catching falling leaves, have a go, you’ll see what I mean.

The day a customer made me cry.

I make gifts that are intentional and when customers reach out and involve me in their journey, I am profoundly touched.

We had exchanged a couple of messages after the wedding decoration and my customer hoped to come back if their family was to grow. So when the message came through within two lines I was hoping this was the news I was waiting for. Two strangers yet I felt very invested.

It’s not just clay, it’s a story. 🤍

Not the productive day I had planned but I’ve been a little creative with flowers I dried from my last birthday and 3 pumpkins I started making last year.
The leaves flying around my garden have made me feel a touch autumnal.

What did you do on the 17th August 33 years ago?

I took the plane for the first time and landed in England!
Little did I know this would change my life.

With a few new followers lately, I thought I’d show up!
I’m Sandrine, from France but I have spent most of my life between England and Germany.
Here are a few facts:
- In love with the northern French coast.
- Happy with cheese and wine every day!
- Christmas time without oysters is not an option.
- Apple crumble and custard is my comfort food.
- Always looking for the Paris Observer book.
- Petrichor and apricity are two of my favourite things.
