Have you done much fringing recently?

I was doing some leaf braid the other day for a new design that will soon reach the website and it set me off thinking about fringing in general. Especially as we are now in Month 6 - F - of my series of free guides.

Why is fringing used?
What fringe styles are there?
Which thread is best?

These are just 3 of the questions that I have covered in my 4-page Introduction to Fringing guide that is now available on the website. It is free to download or you can order a printed copy. With only 4 pages, it is just that - an introduction - but if you haven't done any before, then it will certainly get you started.

Postage & Packing update

As you know, postage has gone up again, so we have had to change our rates. You will notice the following changes when you complete your basket and at check out.

If you spend £25 or more, the postage is still free. We are now using Royal Mail 2nd Class Service for the free postage option. If you want the 1st Class Service you can select it for an additional charge.

If you spend less than £25, you can now choose 1st Class or 2nd Class Service.

We hope that these changes give a better choice and the 2nd Class Service is now only £2.95.

For May, I'm thinking Even Count Pe**te. I love pe**te stitch because it is so flexible and can be adapted in so many ways.

To make space on our display for some new kits launching soon, some of our other kits are being retired. The last few Posy Vase Kits are now available at a reduced price, so if you have been thinking about this one, then now is the time to take the plunge.

The glass is included in the kit, so the vase is suitable for fresh flowers. The beadwork can also be used without the glass for artificial flowers, as a smart pen holder, or LED tealight holder.

Today we welcome back our Slimline pens and pencils. Hooray!!

These pens are perfect for beading and we have (at least Gordon has!) already assembled them, so all you need to do is get designing and beading. Each pack includes 2 x odd count pe**te charts.

Pens are £5.95, pencils are £7.95 and they are available in either a gold plated or chrome plated finish.

I am updating the technique sheet that I will publish soon, along with some charted designs, and possibly kits, so I will keep you posted about these.
