Decided to put this little pen and watercolour sketch up for sale at Craft Inn too. It’s £15 framed.

If there’s one thing about the creative process for me it’s that inspiration comes from many sources ….and my art comes in many forms as a result.

On this occasion it’s a super cute miniature depiction of a lady walking her dog 🐾🐕‍🦺

LVG Art Collection - cards, candles and original artwork

Made this little beauty this week.

The fish is made from hand shaped ceramic pieces which I textured and then painted using acrylics. The background is hand drawn and hand painted using my trusty art pen and on this occasion I used my little wooden palette for the watercolours.

The high gloss finish on the fish means it catches the light from certain angles.

It’s framed (as you can see…) and is displayed for sale at Craft Inn for £20. Hopefully it will swim away to a new home 🤞🐠

Looking for a greeting card with a difference 🤔? Feeling a bit thoughtful about sending a card that may not get recycled 🤔?

Inspired by a very good friend of mine wanting a couple of cards that the recipients might want to ‘keep & frame’ ….I created LVG Art-Cards as a concept.

A card and a unique piece of ‘small scale’ original art …all in one. Easy to gift and simple to convert using a frame of your choice.

I take commissions…but don’t do portraits of any kind. I can do
- pen sketch favourite places from photos and complete them with watercolour
- stylised pen sketches of people
- colour themed abstract designs
- expressions of a theme to suit any occasion

Currently selling at £7.50 (large letter size, premium weight card). P&P not included. I can also supply a suitable frame if desired, at an extra cost.

LVG Art Collection - cards, candles and original artwork

A lovely friend of mine purchased several framed original abstracts that I painted using acrylics …a while ago (when I first started painting). She has had some fantastic work done on her kitchen and a new extension and she sent me these pics of the paintings that she has now hung.

They look great…even if I do say so myself 🤭🎨

I sold a couple of watercolour and pen sketches via CRAFT INN this last week or so too …happy days .

Ongoing chair resto - purple one painted and finished with furniture wax. Upholstery next step …

Grey one is the second of a pair (ercol) I did the first one ages ago for our lounge and finally decided to do the second one.

Quite time consuming but very enjoyable and a great end product.

The purple one is available for purchase…so if you or anyone you know might be interested before I upholster it, give me a DM. It’s very striking and the wax has given it a really rich soft sheen. Will make a fab accent chair for someone.

Inspired by my pottery repair work, thought I’d give some furniture up cycling a go today…

A skip find chair that had a broken spindle in the arm section (which has been replaced with a newly turned one…by a friend who is a wood turner) gave me a great platform for the project.

Colour is imperial violet (paint we had in from a previous project many moons ago).

Will be upholstering the seat pad with some fabric that was going spare at CRAFT INN

Enjoyable afternoon so far. Third coat of paint tomorrow or Tuesday and then the reupholstered seat pad to attach.

Keep any eye open for the final product.
