Just a reminder that Hygge-Hugs is closed all this week to move key larger items. Classes and other services re-start Monday, and if your usual venue is Makers' Yard it will now be GU11 3PT.

New sessions and classes start at North Town Community Centre in July - dates to follow, but this will include an Early Years group, a teenage alternative provision and adult classes. Hygge-Hugs will be at the community fayre hosted by St George's Badshot Lea this Saturday, and at STOLL on Monday.

Please leave your Legacy Wall notes in their letterbox and they will be added to the fabric wall.

Although Hygge Hugs is sadly leaving the yard soon, we remain 100 percent behind Armed Forces Day and the gratitude legacy wall project.

Please write your messages on paper and put them in unit Ds letterbox by 4pm Saturday 20th. Bev and her group of volunteers will complete the wall and gift it to Rushmoor in time for the start of celebrations on Friday 26th. You do not have to put a name on your message, and it will be transcribed with care onto fabric ( It has proved quite tricky for people to write it directly on, but Bev has bizarrely got quite good at it! Teacher handwriting!)

Please note, a few have left messages that we can't transcribe. Just a reminder that the wall is not 'pro war' or about any specific conflict - it is about thanking the men and women who uproot their lives to help in emergencies as well as conflicts all over the world, who defend our liberties, and it is also about their families who in turn make huge sacrifices to support them. Past and present.

The wall is travelling to STOLL on Monday afternoon so military families and veterans there can take part - Bev is looking forward to meeting you all.

Victoria Day! Please still come and support all the kids in the parade today!
If you want to find out more about Duo Dance who are in the parade today, you can get more information in Makers' Yard at Hygge Hugs, where you can also make a free fairy door and write a message to our armed forces to go on the legacy wall!

Sadly due to the weather, the white fairy will not be at Hygge-Hugs Makers' Yard as she didn't want her white dress to get muddy, instead there is a rather evil grumpy queen! See if you can cheer her up by making a free wooden fairy door today at the studio! We are sure the £5 photo shoot and the lovely new stationery shop will cheer her up! Xx Come and see us all today!

FREE CRAFTS IN MAKERS' YARD TOMORROW! Hygge-Hugs will have a free magical craft table tomorrow as well as cotton to write your messages ahead of Armed Forces Day - come and add them to the wall of gratitude!

Hygge-Hugs will be closed during the parade though as Bev will be supporting Duo Dance Studio who are parading!

Sadly the studio Unit D Hygge Hugs will be closing 2 weeks from Saturday. Our supplementary funding from a Christian organisation has come to an end, and we have decided that the rental cost related to the size of space just isn't a sound economic decision in the current climate. We would rather change venue than increase client prices.

We will be looking for other local venues, including a move on Mondays to the community centre in North Town, and using our larger home studio in GU11.

For all things arts mindfulness ( including coaching, support for anxiety and PTSD), blended academic tuition through the arts ( including SEND, Waldorf and NC), cosy courses, silk painting birthday parties, leather craft workshops, waldorf crafts and of course for commissions / purchases- please join our new page

Look forward to seeing you all at Victoria Day, then we are at a fayre at St Georges Badshot Lea the following Saturday, then our final Saturday will be the 20th and Bev'll be doing a giant watercolour with two local artist friends.

Thanks to all the lovely people we have met and to Rushmoor for the opportunity. We hope we have added something positive to Aldershot town centre with our free tea parties, social prescriptions, free craft tables, work with schools and community focus.

We are hosting a FREE week of activities at the end of August as part of Hampshire Open Studios too so watch out for that, especially if you live on the Aldershot Park / Lido side of town.
