A very belated Happy New Year to you all !

2023 was quite the year, we celebrated, along with all the family, our eldest daughter getting married and welcoming our first grandchild too and have been making the most of the time we get to enjoy this little one as they grow.

I pride myself on the success of my lovely little cottage industry, and I could not do this without you all, I try my best to please and help where I can - after all, life can be a challenge right now.

My family also needed me these past few months and after starting 2023 with some challenges with my health- I finished the year the same way - I am now back to it after suffering this awful virus that has certainly been doing the rounds and have had the misfortune of being unwell since middle of October.

I have to admit I have not looked after myself as well as, maybe, I should have and to the detriment of my own health - this can not continue - so there will be little changes taking place - one being accepting help when needed.

Plans are currently being put in place so there will be someone monitoring this page and any social media pages and emails while I get to create all these wonderful designs for you. - something that has been a struggle to maintain along with text messages, phone calls and in person meetings.

We thank you for your patience, while the changes take place and for your continued support - and here is to a healthier 2024 !!

So what a year 2023 has been so far!

Our daughter got married last month, to the love of her life and what a fabulous day too - although very warm! It was a day to remember for them.

As anyone who knows my daughter - knows she has a love for the colour pink and also Winnie The Pooh - so this was featured and a theme running throughout - and this was complimented by the afternoon tea for her afternoon reception.

The majority of the venue and reception decorations were undertaken by us but we couldn't have done it without the help of the following people and their businesses along with family and friends who all rallied to help during setup and on the day.

Since the wedding we have also welcomed our first grandchild - so life and business has taken a bit of a diversion at the moment - we have been supporting our daughter and our new son-in-law with the transition of becoming parents and enjoying lots of cuddles as well.

We will be back to normal as soon as we can and have had a well earned rest and catch up on sleep and, of course, more cuddles with our little one

And that's a wrap for Mother's Day for another year!

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing beaming smiles when presenting beautiful floral displays to these lovely people - so heartwarming x

So we now enter into spring with Easter and Wedding Season imminent x

I'm officially back !! Woohoo !!

I am working through the backlog and after having a longer recovery period than expected - I am now working through all the quotes and enquiries - If you have yet to receive your quote or reply - I am working through them all.

Good morning all,

Unfortunately I have been admitted into hospital over the weekend and have been told that this may be an elongated stay.

Life sometimes likes to remind you that you're not infallible and you need to look after yourself.

So for the next two weeks I am afraid I am out of action and will not be able to take on any orders.

I have passed all my work onto my lovely friend Katie to fulfill all orders for this and beginning of next week.

I have someone monitoring the page but until then - The Flower Basket will be closed.

I will be back fighting fit and looking forward to being able to help you again.
