We had a good day at the market, chatting to those that bought.

We took a total of £300, which was reasonable. When you consider the time that’s gone into picking, conditioning and arranging we barely made a profit.

You have to try these things to get a feel for what works… There were a lot of people browsing and a lot of photos being taken.

I managed to get a parking fine which didn’t help matters! My fault for misreading the sign 🙄.

I think I’ll give the market another go in August.

Thank you to everyone who came and bought my flowers from South Downs Roastery yesterday… They were all sold. Last week was a bad week for flower sales so this little win makes me very happy 🙂. There’s so much that goes into growing them behind the scenes, it’s a real labour of love.

This weather has brought the roses well and truly into bloom! They are looking fantastic and you can find them at Southdowns Roastery this Saturday…

Grown right here on the same farm. The Roastery opens at 9am on Saturday… Come enjoy great coffee and the most beautiful flowers 🌺

Rosa Desdoma. A beautiful rose in one of the gardens I help to look after.

This heat wave has meant I’ve been working late, with extra watering to do as well as May’s usual garden tasks.

As evening drew near this rose becomes luminous. Desdemona opens as peachy pink and fades to almost pure white as it matures. A David Austin shrub rose that repeatedly blooms well into the Autumn.

Right now I’m doing a lot of pre-emptive rose pruning: Pruning out the centres to help with airflow and minimise black spot.

I hope you and your gardens are managing to hold up okay in this heat!

My beautiful roses are blooming in the paddock... All this week and next week, I'm offering a bucket of mixed flowers, including the most beautiful scented roses.

Limited availability. Includes a minimum of x 15 roses plus a mixture of in season flowers and foliage. A minimum of x 20 other stems will be included.

All my flowers are grown without any chemicals or pesticides.

Delivery is included within five miles of Alton or call 07896 555459 to book a collection from the farm.
