I’m so sorry that it has taken me so long to thank you for your support and sponsorship in the Free From Fear Three Derbyshire Peaks challenge.
Thank you so much.
It was a great day and although long past surprisingly quickly. The weather was perfect having cooled down after some really hot days which made it a little easier. ( Less water bottles to carry!)
The company and conversation of the fellow yompers was excellent and we made it in excellent time.
No one was left behind …. We brought everyone home safely …. Well at least back to the car park.

This was me on the 1st September 2019 near Chepstow.

I was about to walk the Offa’s D**e solo carrying my tent and stove.
I look happy. I was happy. I was also bricking myself. The plan was to walk as far as I could with a dodgy back and nothing booked ahead because I really didn’t think I’d get very far.
But each day I checked in on myself and just kept plodding north until I found that I’d reached Prestatyn. And that was it …. I reconnected with my ‘I’.
For the first time in many many years I wasn’t responsible for anyone but myself.
Each day was an adventure discovering what was going to greet / challenge me on the trail while discovering myself along the way. What I could do, what I could overcome, what made me chuckle to myself. I did a lot of chuckling to myself. 😜
I hold this time very gently and dearly.

Welcome September. It’s a great place to start again. 🥰

Meanwhile this September the first I’m plodding on in a different way.
Plodding on with the ‘Big Order’. And bit by bit I’m winning. 🥰

No one was left behind.
The Derbyshire Three Peaks in aid of The charity Free from Fear.

We must NEVER leave anyone behind.

I did this walk with an incredible bunch of barristers and ex military folk who are making a life saving difference to the lives of others.
Fear I have but importantly Freedom I have too.

Please help us, to help the interpreters, who helped our forces to stay safe.

I made some special mugs that are sold from the little tea room just above the waterfalls. Devils Bridge Waterfalls I also have some of my work available at Woodlands Devils Bridge.

Just under a week I’m doing this crazy walk with a bunch of barristers and ex Special Forces folk. Fear I have but Freedom I have too.
