On Friday (1st December) The Andover Mens Shed held an Open Day at the new location in the Chantry Shopping Centre. It was well attended by members and members of the public coming in to see precisely what was done and made. I was demonstrating the Art of Pen Turning. I was personally surprised when TVBC Councillor Iris Anderson presented me with a ‘Founder’s Certificate’
We always welcome new members with skills or with none, currently open during the mornings of Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Sadly one of the long serving members of Test Valley Turners John Peck has died. Stuart Mortimer, Graham Barnard (Secretary TVT) and myself (Chairman TVT) along with John’s son Andrew Peck worked together through the 4 Garages of John’s stock preparing for a sale to fellow Woodturners! One of the items was an offcut of Italian Laminated Wood which has now been converted into Ballpoint Pens for his widow, his 2 sons and his daughter
