I've been busy...it's the school holidays so time away with family has been my priority, a week in Devon and just returned from a week in the Lake District...

I came home to many flowers in bloom, despite the heat and lack of water!

Fortunately a lot of the flowers I grow for drying can stand the heat and don't mind a lack of water... although some rain anytime now would be great!!

I'll be bringing these flowers as well as many others along to my meadow box arrangement workshop on Sunday 13th September 1-3pm Wild Mint Café & Caffe Botanico - Golden Days Garden Centre Wigan

Here it is...after lots of people asking when I'm doing another workshop...well I've been wanting to do this particular workshop for a while now... really looking forward to teaching you all

❤️💐Dried flower Meadow box workshop 💐❤️

Using all of my homegrown flowers lovingly dried, with a few extras foraged and donated...creating a treasure trove of goodies for you to choose from ☺️

This meadow box display will last for years kept in the optimal conditions, giving you a beautiful natural arrangement that can be displayed as a table centrepiece or why not decorate a sideboard or corner of your home to create a countryside vibe...

Attendees will have a set base of material to work with and then choose from the flower bar...where you can decide on your own style and colour scheme

Sunday 13th September 1-3pm

New workshop incoming! 😊

This has been in the planning for a little while, I've wanted to teach a different type of workshop from my usual dried flower wreaths and hoops...

Introducing the dried flower meadow box...

These gorgeous arrangements make greater centrepieces for your dining table or as a great way of styling your home with something more natural with an English countryside feel...lots of my homegrown flowers, seed heads and foraged grasses included

As always, no artificial colours added or pesticides used, grown on peat free soil, lovingly nurtured by me through the season and carefully harvested and dried to provide long lasting blooms that will give you years of pleasure 😊

Just look at the last photo below with labels of all the different varieties of material used to get a flavour of what you will have to choose from within the workshop...I will guide you through your design...
You want more wild vibes...yes you can...more structured...yes you can... different colour schemes... absolutely...the flower bar will be open for you to add your own unique style with a set base of materials to start with

Happy harvest...Sea lavender, Achilliea, Sneezewort, Sandflower, Lavender and Marjoram/Oregano...flowers coming thick and fast now...drying rack is exploding with flowers, seed heads and foliage 😀
..and managed to pick up a very large bundle of Eucalyptus from a lovely lady in the next village...my car smelled amazing on the drive home ☺️

Tomorrow is going to be great fun at World Horse Welfare 25th anniversary summer fair Penny farm nr Blackpool 11-3pm

I'll be there for the craft stalls with all my dried flower creations including bouquets, wreaths and much more 😊

Fun packed day for all the family - ponies to meet plus a programme of entertainers including a choir, donkey rides, archery, other local stalls and a gin bar. There will also be games and competitions for the children. Admission and parking are free - book your places on the website.

Teacher thank you cards and a small gift all in one...

These Dried flower bouquet cards were popular last year.
They are made using my homegrown flowers that have been dried and made into small posies.
These are detachable and can be placed in a small bud vase, attached with a pin to your clothing as a decoration or why not simply cut the front off the card pop it on your fridge 👍🏼

A great sustainable gift 💚

£6 each, they will last for...well until you need another one next year!! 😁

My latest harvest this morning before the rain...

A trug full of delights including Cerinthe major, Poppy seed heads, Achillea, Marigold, and more Sandflowers
..and lovely scent from the Lavender, Oregano and Marjoram...all hung up now drying...these will be ready in a week or so to be stored or used in one of my Dried flower creations 😊
