I have a busy time ahead planning and creating for my Christmas markets, customer orders and fresh Christmas wreath workshops...but I do love this season for the cosy evenings where I can sit at the dining table, music tinkling in the background, quietly working away

Lovingly created Dried flower wreath...

I've been longing to make this for sooo long! If not just to demonstrate that dried flowers can be bold, vibrant and magnificent!!

Homegrown flowers nurtured on my allotment and in my garden

Absolutely NO artificial dyes...Yes these are all natural colours 😍

Grown on peat free soil amongst all the bees and butterflies

No nasty pesticides used...I have plenty of natural pests that help me along ☺️

With a scattering of foraged material to reflect the bounty of nature

Measures approx 40cm in diameter including flowers

For indoor use only...and if you keep it out of constant direct sunlight the colours will last for years...think of it as a painting ☺️

All the usual fresh trimmings...but with a dried flower twist if you wish

And lots of Christmassy extras with cinnamon sticks orange slices, feathers, ribbons, and pine cones in different shapes and sizes

A treasure trove of goodies to choose from

There will be festive drinks and snacks available

Christmas tunes will be playing

These were great fun to teach last year ☺️

Following on from my post this morning about flowers I'm still harvesting...

Let's not forget about the foliage too...I have a lot of Lambs ears plants in my garden (they do like to spread 🫣)

I enjoy using these for a lighter colour in my wreaths..and the tree cones were a hit at the Christmas markets last year 😄

I just lay them flat in a scrapbook and leave for a couple of weeks, I also do my ferns in this way too.

They are so tactile and soft...as it's namesake

So I've been keen to inspect the flowers for any signs of frost damage...so far so good 🤞🏼

I dry my Zinnias and other open flowers using this method as it keeps the petals more open... I love the way the colours transform when they are dried, antique creams and jewel reds ☺️

I've used them in some recent makes including my floral pumpkins and a vase arrangement in the photos below

And can you spot what I've harvested from something I've grown... forever the magpie and looking for interesting drying material...the tall grass like spikes in my trough 🧐

Little and large...see last photo for size comparison and reference to orange juice carton! As someone else's little and someone else's large could be very different 😅

Indoor use recommended due to the nature of the dried flowers... perfect table decorations

Note: due to the bespoke nature of the creations and availability of the different materials used each design will vary...no two pumpkins are the same, each individual and unique!

If you have a specific colour way you would prefer then specify in your request and I will try and accommodate

When your pumpkin has given up the ghost...pun intended, why not save the taller elements (if you've bought the large pumpkin) of the design and pop them in a vase for ongoing enjoyment, and for the little pumpkin you could reuse the elements for crafting... perfect activity for dark autumnal evenings! 😁

First video for me 🫣

After some recent discussions with my fellow customers about how to dry flowers and how I use them in my designs, I thought I'd pop a little video explaining how I've recently learnt to prepare one of my favourite flowers for drying...

Strawflowers or Helichrysum...they come in such a wonderful array of colours...and perfect for autumn and Christmas designs

Enjoy...now I'm off to hide behind the sofa as I cringe at sending out my first video 😂
