🌿 This time next week we'll be all set up for the… Horticultural Trades Association's National Plant Show!

We'll be exhibiting on 17th & 18th June on stand 349/360, right next to the HTA Village.

We'll be showcasing some exciting new introductions, sharing a few developments we've been working on behind the scenes, and catching up with industry folk from across the sector.

The National Plant Show is always one of the highlights of the horticultural calendar and we're looking forward to two great days of plants, people and conversation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical horticultural experience, achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification and work within one of the UK's leading nursery groups - all whilst earning a salary of £25,857.

As part of the apprenticeship you will:

We are throwing open the gates at Walberton Nursery on Sunday 7th June and we can’t wait to welcome you! Whether you're a passionate gardener or looking for a fun family day out, there’s something for everyone.

🌸 Calibrachoa has become a modern garden favourite, but its story starts in South America, where it grows naturally in rocky, high-altitude regions. Introduced to cultivation relatively recently compared to many bedding plants, it quickly earned its place in UK gardens thanks to its incredible flower power and reliability.

🌼 And it’s easy to see why gardeners love it. Calibrachoa produces a cascade of small, petunia-like blooms from late spring right through to the first frosts. Unlike some bedding plants that need constant deadheading, it is naturally self-cleaning, meaning it keeps looking fresh with minimal effort.

🌿 Its trailing habit makes it perfect for hanging baskets, containers, window boxes and the front of sunny borders, where it will spill beautifully over the edges and deliver months of continuous colour. Compact, tough, and incredibly free-flowering, Calibrachoa really is one of the hardest-working plants in summer bedding.

One of our highlights of this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show was seeing so many fantastic plants from the Farplants range featured throughout the show gardens and displays.

During a visit to Chelsea, our General Manager, Director David Salisbury caught up with Lee Connelly (The Children's Gardening Coach) at The Classroom Garden, which celebrates the power of gardening to inspire and educate future generations. David and Marc Jones, MD of Farplants' Walberton Nursery, also grabbed a photo with our shortlisted Euphorbia Walberton’s® Little Treasure®.

Elsewhere across the show, our Digitalis Walberton's® Goldcrest and Nepeta Summer Magic featured in the Parkinson's Garden, designed by Arit Anderson. And if it felt like Geum Totally Tangerine was absolutely everywhere this year - that's because it was, popping up in displays right across the showground!

It's always exciting to see plants from our range receiving recognition on gardening's biggest stage.

These varieties have now sold out, but they will be available again next season. Garden centres may wish to add them to their reserve lists early to avoid disappointment.
