Hi everyone,
We apologize that we have not been live and have not updated you for a while on what is going on with us. I have not been online due to my physical and mental health and have not been able to focus on anything for the past 4-6 weeks. I am sorry for not seeing messages or posts or replied to anyone.
Since having the surgery on my hip 9 weeks ago, I have not been doing well. I did a few lives as you know but was hurting a lot for a couple of days after doing them. After seeing my physiotherapist, I was advised I was over straining it and not to do them for a while until I had improved more.
Craig was hoping to do the lives but he has had too much to do with looking after me and the boys and everything that goes with it. I had a fall a few weeks ago and after going to London last week to see my team, I had an X-Ray. I have been told the joint is fine, but I have possibly done tissue damage around the new joint. I have to go back in 12 weeks to see them. If I am no better in 4 weeks then I need to go back to be looked at more closely. I have been told not to do anything for a couple of weeks and then just light physio to let the injury heal and have been stuck in bed a lot.
Due to the fact that we have not been consistent for a long time now with the business, and the fact that my health is not improving which I was hoping would be the case, we have made the very difficult decision that we are going to close Vanessa’s Crafts & Creations once we have sold the stock we have left. It has just become too much for me to manage as I just do not know how I will be on a day to day basis any more. My FND symptoms have increased again recently on top of the hip replacements. I need to focus on doing more physio, exercise and getting out more to try and strengthen my muscles for walking once the hip has healed. I also need to focus on doing positive things to help my mental health as it is not great at the moment. This has had a knock on affect with the family and Craig and myself. I need to put them and my health first and cannot do this while trying to run the business any more.
Thank you all so much for all of the ongoing support you have given us over the past few years while we have been trading as VCCL. We have absolutely loved doing the business and getting to know you all more. It is all of you that have kept us going and we couldn’t have done it without you. We will still do some lives once I am well enough again until we have sold our stock.
Until I have improved, we have put up a 20% discount on the website for the rest of the month to start our clearance stock. Hopefully by then I will be well enough to do a few lives and see you all before we close for good. I will put up the raffles we have left online as we drawn them. We still have a few left that have not been shown so keep an eye on our page still. We hope you understand our decision and that we have not taken it lightly. I am completely gutted as we just wanted to go from strength to strength and continue to grow.
