👀✨ WORKING ON SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL… ✨👀

I’ve got a very special project on my work table at the moment… and this one is completely different from anything I’ve created before. 🥰

I can't tell you what it is yet 🤫 — but I've been putting lots of thought into the design and getting every little detail just right.

It's definitely challenging me creatively, but I think that's part of what makes handmade pieces so special. ❤️

For now, this one has to stay a secret… 👀

But I’m VERY excited to show you when the time is right!

🌊 From beach finds to little pieces of Cumbria…
This is the bit you don't always see! 😂

After a trip to the beach, everything comes home to be washed, dried and then sorted into sea glass, sea pottery, shells, colours, shapes and sizes.
Then comes my favourite bit — rummaging through it all and deciding which tiny treasure is going to become a flower, a butterfly, a cottage roof, a boat… or something I haven't thought of yet. 🥰

Every piece I use has been individually found along the Cumbrian coast, and no two pieces are ever quite the same.

There's something really lovely about taking something that's been tossed around by the sea for who knows how long and giving it a completely new life. 💙

And yes… my kitchen does regularly look like a beach has exploded in it. 😂🌊

Well, this has made my day! 🥹

One of my Heart of the Sea, Cumbria Maryport frames has travelled quite a few miles and is now proudly sitting in its new home in Perth, Australia! 🇦🇺❤️

There’s something really special about knowing a little piece of Cumbria has travelled all the way to the other side of the world.

From the Cumbrian coast ➡️ to Australia 🌊☀️
And doesn't it look lovely in its new home?! 😍

This is exactly why I love making these — places hold memories, and sometimes a little reminder of home means so much more than just a picture.

I fancied trying something new and absolutely love how this one turned out! 🥰

Three little turtles created using genuine Cumbrian sea glass and shells, surrounded by some of the smaller shells I've collected along the coast. Each piece has been individually chosen and put together by hand, so no two could ever be exactly the same. 💙

A little reminder of the Cumbrian coast to keep at home. 🌊

☀️ Another day on the Cumbrian coast 🌊💙

Back to the beach today, searching for those little treasures that eventually become part of my Heart of the Sea, Cumbria creations. 🥰

I was particularly on the hunt for interesting pieces of sea pottery for my butterfly designs, and the beach definitely made me work for them! 😂 But there were some lovely finds — patterned pottery, sea glass and a gorgeous piece of amber. 💛

This is one of my favourite parts of what I do. Every piece I use has genuinely been found along the Cumbrian coast, usually by me with my head down amongst the stones wondering what I'll uncover next. 😂🌊

From beach → little forgotten treasure → something completely unique. ❤️

After selling all four of my sea pottery frames, I've discovered I have a slight problem… 😂

I need to make another “Let Your Dreams Take Flight” butterfly frame, but I've used up some of my best little patterned pieces!

So it's back to the beach for another treasure hunt. 🌊

This is one of the things I love about making with genuine sea pottery — I can't just order another identical piece. Every fragment has been shaped by the sea, and I never know what I'm going to find.
I'm now officially on the hunt for small, colourful and patterned pieces that will make the perfect butterfly wings. 🦋👀

Wish me luck… the sea decides what stock I get! 😂🌊

Seeing all four find a new home is such a lovely feeling — especially when every piece of pottery started out as a little treasure found on one of my beach walks. 🥰

🌊 ANOTHER DAY AT THE BEACH 🌊

Back at the beach again today for another little treasure hunt.

The sea was definitely hiding the good stuff from me today 😂 but I still managed to come away with a few lovely pieces of sea glass and sea pottery to add to the collection. 🌊✨

It turned into a really lovely afternoon too. We met a couple of lovely people who stopped to ask what we were doing — me hunting for sea glass while my brother was busy metal detecting. 😂 Two completely different treasure hunts happening on the same beach!

They were so interested in what we were finding and what I make with it that I gave them two pieces of sea glass and two pieces of sea pottery to take home with them — their own little pieces of Cumbria. 🥰🌊

Such a small thing, but I loved being able to share a little bit of our beautiful Cumbrian coast with them. ❤️

Not the biggest haul today, but fresh air, the sound of the sea, good company, lovely conversations and a handful of treasures… I'll take that!

Now to see what I can turn today's finds into. 👀✨
