June is one of the best months to hatch quail eggs at home.
The brooder is easier to manage in warm weather. Summer-hatched birds are at point of lay by late August. And if you have children at home for the school holidays - 17 days from egg to chick is exactly the kind of project that holds their attention from start to finish.
Our fertile Coturnix quail hatching eggs are collected fresh from our flock here in Warwickshire, individually bubble-wrapped and dispatched within 48 hours.
Everything you need to know about summer hatching is on the blog - link in bio.

The garden is finally warm enough to sit in.
Here is why beeswax candles are the only ones worth putting on an outdoor table this summer.
Paraffin softens in the heat, burns unevenly and produces sooty smoke you do not want drifting across your dinner. Beeswax has a higher melting point, burns slowly and cleanly, and fills the evening air with nothing but a faint natural scent of honey.
No chemicals. No soot. Just a clean golden flame and a proper summer evening.
Our tealights, pillar candles and tapers are all hand-poured in small batches at our smallholding in Atherstone, Warwickshire - and they are ready for your garden table this June.

We donated quail eggs to Ormskirk West End Primary School in Lancashire for their Year 6 hatching project.
A few weeks later, a letter arrived - with drawings tucked inside.
Theo wrote to tell us his favourite part would be watching them waddle. Darcey sent a letter with Hoshmat's beautifully detailed quail drawing - so carefully coloured it is now on display in the farmhouse.
And Lottie, Reception Class, drew a quail in a garden with trees, eggs on the ground, and total artistic confidence.
We are a small farm in Warwickshire. We cannot do everything. But when a school asks for help giving children - some of whom have never had a pet - a chance to care for living animals, that is a yes from us every time.

Please Remember – Hatching Eggs Are Not Instant Products

Every order we send depends not only on us, but also on the birds themselves. Quail and chickens lay naturally, and some varieties are more limited than others, especially during busy periods.

We kindly ask all current and future customers not to rush sellers for immediate dispatch updates after placing an order. Sometimes there may be a short waiting list, or we may simply be waiting for the birds to lay enough fresh fertile eggs suitable for posting.

We always try our absolute best to dispatch as quickly as possible while still sending fresh, quality eggs we would be happy to incubate ourselves.

Please allow at least a couple of days before messaging for updates. You will automatically receive a dispatch notification as soon as your parcel is on the way.

Small breeders are caring for living animals every single day — not working from factory shelves — and we truly appreciate your patience, kindness, and understanding.

Thank you so much for supporting small UK breeders and family-run farms. It genuinely means the world to us.

regards,
Natalie
