Does tea actually go bad? 👀

Not in the way you'd think. Tea doesn't "expire" like food does — it doesn't grow mold or make you sick. But it does go stale. Over time, exposure to air, light, and moisture breaks down the oils and flavor compounds that make tea taste good.

So that box that's been in your cupboard for two years? Still safe to drink. Just... sad. 😅

Properly stored loose leaf tea (airtight, away from light and heat) can stay fresh for 1-2 years — some teas, like aged pu-erh, actually get better with time.

Moral of the story: store it right, and drink it while it's alive. 🍃

Pai Mu Dan (White Peony) is one of the most delicate white teas out there. Made from young tea buds and leaves, picked early and barely processed — no rolling, no oxidizing, just gently withered and dried.

Darjeeling, Assam, or Nilgiri — do you actually know the difference? 👀

Darjeeling: light, floral, almost wine-like. Grown in the Himalayan foothills, often called the "champagne of teas."
Assam: bold, malty, deep amber. Grown in the humid lowlands — the wake-up-and-taste-it kind of tea.
Nilgiri: smooth, aromatic, slightly fruity. Grown in South India's "Blue Mountains" — a great everyday middle ground.

Same plant, three completely different personalities. 🍃

Turns out "recyclable" doesn't always mean your recycling bin can take it. Many tea bags are heat-sealed with plastic, and even paper ones often need industrial composting most councils don't offer.
