⚠️🚨🚨 A Disappointing End to Today's Fair 🚨🚨⚠️
We work hard to bring this fantastic monthly event to Ayr, and our stallholders spend many hours sourcing, preparing and displaying an eclectic mix of interesting items for everyone to browse and enjoy.
Unfortunately, today we had two reported thefts from stallholders.
As the fair is in a educational establishment, the areas used for the stalls are covered by CCTV, and we will be asking Ayrshire College to review the footage from today's fair. If anyone responsible is reading this and wishes to do the right thing, please contact us immediately to arrange for the safe return of the items.
Failing this, should those responsible be identified, they will be banned from attending future events, and any relevant information or footage WILL be passed to the Police.
We fully appreciate that times are difficult for many people at the moment, but stealing from hard-working independent traders is never acceptable. Our stallholders are ordinary people, many travelling long distances and working extremely hard whilst facing the very same financial pressures as everyone else.
The Ayr Antique, Vintage & Collectors Fair is a community event that relies on trust, honesty and mutual respect. The overwhelming majority of our visitors embody those values, and we thank you for your continued support.
To those responsible, you should be deeply ashamed of your actions. Theft does not just take property—it damages the goodwill and sense of community that makes events like this possible.
Please help us ensure that this remains a fantastic local event for the people of South Ayrshire and beyond to enjoy for many years to come. 💖
