There’s something totally vintage about these dahlias. Theatrical is probably the word for them — large, extravagant heads, layer upon layer of petals, and the most incredible colours. Washed-out dusty mauve, faded rose, to***co brown and deep wine, all slightly moody and imperfect. They feel almost decadent rather than simply flowers.

The first autumn wreaths has already made its way onto the website.
Whether we want it or not, autumn is coming soon… and I suppose it’s time to start adding a little bit of those warmer colours back into our homes.
I’m still not quite ready to say goodbye to summer, though. Are you?

August in the garden is a funny thing. The grass has completely given up and turned yellow, but the rest of the garden clearly has other plans. Rosehips are coming, grapes are hanging everywhere, blackberries are ripening and the apple trees are full.
I was walking underneath the rose pergola this morning when the sun caught me right through the branches. You know that moment when the light keeps flickering between the leaves and you notice that quietness, the blue sky, and the sun playing hide and seek between the leaves and branches. It feels special and peaceful.
Nothing happened. Nothing needed to happen. Just an ordinary August morning, my slightly tired garden, the sun through the trees and a few minutes when I wasn’t rushing anywhere.
I loved it. And I hope somehow you can feel a little of it through the screen too.

Does anyone else feel like this, or is it just me? 🍎
The moment I see apple branches, I know autumn isn’t far away. Soon we’ll be bringing out pumpkins, candles, cosy blankets and all those little autumn touches that make our homes feel so warm.
But for some reason, it also makes me a little sad. I can’t even explain why. Maybe it’s because summer seems to disappear in the blink of an eye, and another year has gone by before we’ve even realised it.
Or maybe I’m just getting sentimental… 🍁

There is something rather fascinating about preserved hydrangeas. They don’t really belong to a single season anymore. Their journey in the garden has ended, yet they continue to exist in a completely different way.
Unlike dried flowers, preserved hydrangeas retain much of their softness and natural texture, making them feel as though time has simply slowed down rather than stopped. They become less about a bouquet and more about a lasting element of a home—moving effortlessly from a summer table to an autumn mantelpiece, then quietly through winter without ever feeling out of place.
Perhaps that’s what I love most about them. They remind us that beauty doesn’t always disappear with the passing of a season. Sometimes, it simply finds a new way to stay.

Stunning candle holders in an antique bronze finish, radiating vintage charm. They remind me of a Moroccan desert night — full of warmth, mystery, and texture. Flickering lanterns and candles in intricate metal holders cast ornate shadows across the space, evoking the stillness and magic of a star-filled sky. A moment of quiet beauty, where time slows and the glow speaks louder than words.

I’ve always loved the moments just before the rain. The sky takes on soft shades of blue, lilac and grey, the air becomes cooler and wonderfully fresh, and the breeze gently moves through the fields.
When I created this simple arrangement using just two flowers, that was the feeling I wanted to capture. The blue cornflowers remind me of the changing sky before the rain, while the lavender brings back the gentle fragrance of the countryside.
Nothing grand. Nothing extraordinary. Just two simple flowers… or perhaps I simply missed the rain so much that I found it in them.

Vintage-style jugs filled with seasonal faux flowers are one of my favourite ways to bring colour into a home. In summer, I can’t resist adding a few irises—they’re simply beautiful.
I never aim for perfect symmetry or flawless arrangements. Real flowers don’t grow that way, and I think that’s what gives them their charm. A little movement, a stem leaning its own way, an unexpected combination… that’s what makes an arrangement feel alive. Sometimes it’s not about perfection at all, but about the feeling it brings when you walk into the room.
