Standing here, surrounded by everything we’ve created, I can’t help but feel incredibly grateful.
As we enter our tenth year of trading in Ballyclare, I’ve been reflecting on the journey that has brought us here. The early mornings, the late nights, the risks, the challenges, the laughter, and all those little moments that have made it so worthwhile.
When I first opened our doors 10 years ago, I had a head full of ideas, a love for beautiful things and a determination to create somewhere a little different. I could never have imagined the journey that would follow.
Over the years, The Fig Design Co. has grown and evolved, but at its heart, it remains everything I hoped it would be — a place filled with creativity, character, warmth and a genuine love for what we do.
And none of it would be possible without you.
To our wonderful customers, whether you’ve been with us from the very beginning or have only recently discovered us, thank you for choosing us, believing in us and continuing to support independent retail.
It’s a privilege to be invited into your homes, to share in your celebrations, and to play even the smallest part in your everyday lives.
I’m immensely proud of the wonderful team who bring this place to life every day. Behind every beautiful display, every carefully wrapped gift and every finished interior is a group of people who care deeply about what they do.
Running a small business isn’t always easy, but there is something incredibly special about building something you love, in a town you love, surrounded by people who make it all worthwhile.
We’ve never wanted to be just another shop. We’ve always wanted to be somewhere that makes people feel something.
And as we look towards the next chapter, I hope we continue to do just that.
From a little dream to our tenth year on the high street — what a journey it’s been.
