"Inheritance"

When I was over clearing out my stuff from Mum and Dad's house ahead of its sale, I found my 1980s Transformer in the "Jenni" box. I'd thought about it occasionally but assumed it was lost/thrown out at some point, they gave it to me when I was in the hospital getting my tonsils out when I was 4 (I'm 43 tomorrow!).

I handed it on to the young 'un immediately and it's back in play circulation now but it got me thinking about deemed heirlooms, how as parents during a stage "rid-oot" something gets lauded up as a must-keep, something that might be unearthed with a story later on.

I'd like to do some more work along that idea but for now, there's a few of these available with different backgrounds/plain in the rack. Unfortunately you can't have this one as it's my own artist print and was the only one in existence when I HAD to get them all to the framers.

The framed "Everybody's Legs" screen print has lots of fans.

You can see the various drawing attempts on the "fridge door" section of the wall, including the eventual "ah f**k it" monoline scribble that ended up being the one I loved and converted to the print.

These are our dining chairs, and take up a big part of my peripheral vision in the evenings. My partner works night shift so when Aidan came along, studio evenings were largely out the window during the week. As well as studio days during the pre-school era, as Dad was asleep. Then the windows when we could all be together, were hard to pass up! The chairs are also a joyful bright symbol of us moving to Bangor and having the space to host a proper table full of family. It's where everybody's legs go.

There's a couple of unframed ones in the rack too.

I'm on a roll with the "behaving like a professional artist" thing this week so have tidied up/switched about the paintings outside my studio in Boom Studios

At this rate I might even photograph them properly and put something new on my website, that'd be mad.

In the meantime if you're interested in any of these drop me a DM.

The 2 framed coastal screen prints are away for a new life in Luxembourg, I think, hence their early traveling exit. I'll replace them with something cool this week.

Many thanks to their new owners for visiting, I'm absolutely delighted they took your fancy 🥰 Thank you very much Seacourt Print Workshop pals for facilitating (especially .art for the update!).

The perfect, print-matching frames were done by John at Picture Framer John
