Two sets of candle holders. One brass, one silver. 🕯️

Different places, different people, but both made for the same job.

At some point, these will have lit up someone's home. Been there for conversations, family meals, celebrations and just ordinary evenings.

We'll never know their full stories, and that's part of what I love about old things.

They've already had a life before they found their way to me.

Now they're ready to go somewhere new, light up someone else's home and be part of a whole new story.

Same job, different place. Another chapter. ❤️

🗺️ A little piece of Welsh history at Y Sbôr Aur! ✨

Now this is the sort of thing I absolutely love finding!

A beautifully detailed, hand-coloured map of South Wales by Robert Morden, originally published in 1695.

From the old place names and winding rivers to the mountains and tiny settlements, there's something fascinating about seeing Wales as it was mapped over 300 years ago.

The more you look, the more you discover.

We're still investigating which edition this particular map comes from, but it's a wonderful piece of cartographic history regardless.
