A big thank you to everyone for the messages and encouragement over the last 12 months ❤️❤️
Time moves on, life continues, but, sometimes the fates throw you a curved ball and you seem to drop out of step with everyone else
My journey with lung cancer was just begining this time last year, although I didn't get my diagnosis till Christmas 2025.
This year has been so strange in many ways, from never going to hospital and never really been ill, to visiting nearly every week for appointments, scans, blood tests and admissions. Has it been wearing? - yes it has. However I am not sure how, but I managed to stay positive. My lovely family have been very supportive and kept my spirits up.
I've had my scan and I am in remission which is just brilliant.
I will have a scan every six months for the first two years, then yearly for five years.
I have no idea what the future holds, I can't have any further Chemotherapy or immunotherapy due to how toxic it is to my body.
I am starting to sort out my little shop so i have a dedicated work space for me to design and create.
2027 will be a year of getting my creations onto my website, into galleries and on line.

Good morning
The weather is simply gorgeous. We are not used to this heat though, it can be very uncomfortable trying to sleep at night.
Yesterday we went to the Isle of White and we had a fabulous day.

Because it all gets in, doesn’t it?

One post.
One comment.
One bit of drama.
One programme full of negativity.
One person offloading their mood on you.

And before you know it, you feel heavy and you don’t even know why.

So be picky this weekend.

Turn it off.
Scroll past.
Mute it.
Walk away.
Don’t answer if you don’t want to.

And don’t sit there soaking up someone else’s bad energy like it’s your job.

It isn’t.

You’re allowed to protect your own head.

You’re allowed to have a peaceful weekend.

You’re allowed to say,

“Nope, not taking that on today.”

Put music on.
Get a brew.
Potter about.
Go outside.
Sing if you want to.
Dance in the kitchen if the mood takes you.

Do something that makes your energy feel like yours again.

The world can be noisy.

You don’t have to let it live in your weekend.

Happy Saturday everyone
I'm still on my recovery journey, its going to take a long time and the chemotherapy toxicity may have caused permanent damage to my Kdneys. I'm seeing my Oncologist on Mondat and I have a phone call with my Dr. on Wednesday.
In the meantime I shall continue making my bears and hares.
Dare I say the Christmas word?
I have Christmas Stockings waiting to be cut out.
I will be selling in our shop, at Craft Markets and on Etsy (I am just opening a shop)

Its Friday and its going to be hot, hot, hot We will take our dog out shortly so he gets a walk before the heat arrives....
