Just to let you know that Shirley’s Creations will be taking part in the Oakley Show this Saturday from 1.30pm. All profits will once again be going to HART Wildlife Rescue in Medstead.

We are pleased to let you know that £120 profit was made at the Oakley Stalls event. We have just purchased some dried and wet food for the hedgehogs they are currently looking after. Thank you for your continued support.

Thank you to everyone who supported HART Wildlife Rescue through visiting Shirley’s Creations on Saturday. If you were unable to attend and spot anything you’d like on the reel, just send me a message.
This year I’ve added lots of stock to hand made cards and the popular notice boards. I’ve also added bags and vanity bags to my creations with a few other ideas up my sleeve.
It was great to see my daughter’s plushie creations being loved by everyone. We will be back in August at the Oakley Show.

I’ve been challenging myself this year to learn new skills. After attending a class with artist Ali Clement to understand more about free motion sewing, I’ve been having fun making some cards and pictures. Some of these I will be selling at this year’s fayres. A few of my favourites….

The weather is looking good for Saturday which is great news for Garden Stall holders in Oakley! My daughter Emma & I will be having stalls on our driveway, no 18 on the map ( please note it’s near to a great cake seller😉) - Oakley Lane near the bridge. If you can make it then it will be lovely to see you. In the village there will be lots of different stalls selling a wide range of items, all the details are on the map.

Just to say that Shirley’s Creations will once again be taking part in both the Oakley Garden Stalls event and the Oakley Village Show this summer. Once again selling a wide range of homemade creations, with all profits going to support the work of the HART Wildlife Rescue near Alton. Last year with your help £525 in total was raised across these events and the Oakley Christmas Fayre.

This year my daughter Emma will also be joining me, selling her amazing crochet plushies!

Shirley’s Creations is venturing to the Isle of Wight this weekend, taking part in the Newport Minster Christmas Market. This is being held on Saturday 6th December from 10am- 4pm. All profit made from sales or orders taken on the day will be going to the work of the Minister.
Having lived in Newport during my teens when my parents returned to the Island, I remember St. Thomas’s Church and attending many Remembrance Sunday parades with the Girl Guides. And then when my parents both passed away in close succession a couple of years ago I was hugely supported by the Newport Parish team who walked with me on my journey of grief. It is of no surprise that when I visited the transformed Minster this year, I was so inspired and with gratitude in my heart I felt it was exactly the right time to support all that goes on in the Minster and take my creations to one of their markets! And this Saturday it is happening!! If you are from the Island maybe you might want to pop by and say hello. I will be being helped by Derek & my sister Janice.
