Shirley’s Creations is venturing to the Isle of Wight this weekend, taking part in the Newport Minster Christmas Market. This is being held on Saturday 6th December from 10am- 4pm. All profit made from sales or orders taken on the day will be going to the work of the Minister.
Having lived in Newport during my teens when my parents returned to the Island, I remember St. Thomas’s Church and attending many Remembrance Sunday parades with the Girl Guides. And then when my parents both passed away in close succession a couple of years ago I was hugely supported by the Newport Parish team who walked with me on my journey of grief. It is of no surprise that when I visited the transformed Minster this year, I was so inspired and with gratitude in my heart I felt it was exactly the right time to support all that goes on in the Minster and take my creations to one of their markets! And this Saturday it is happening!! If you are from the Island maybe you might want to pop by and say hello. I will be being helped by Derek & my sister Janice.

With the 1st Sunday of Advent approaching it seems appropriate to show you my hand made nativity figures. All hand embroidered, made of felt with a ribbon attached to tie to your Christmas Tree or to a picture hook. Priced at £4-7 they are ideal for a Christmas stocking present or to add to your Christmas decorations. Limited stock for obvious reasons! 🪡🧵😉

The Oakley Outdoor market has been rescheduled until THIS SUNDAY 30th NOVEMBER at St. John’s field 1-3pm.
Shirley's Creations will be there.

Items are all hand made with profit going to support the HART Wildlife Rescue near Alton. Lots of gift ideas including Christmas cushions, wheat bags, Christmas bunting, nativity figures, notice boards, tea towels, aprons, gloves and so much more.

Looking for Christmas Gift ideas or like the idea of giving your lounge a Festive vibe this Christmas - maybe Christmas cushions are an idea?
Robin cushions are always popular for presents - with a contrasting small robin on the back or a plain fabric. Gonk cushions are also popular for gifts or lounges. This year I have these in Red, Green, Grey and Blue. Again made with a large gonk panel on the face and then complemented on back with a plain fabric or a smaller contrasting gonk design. Instead you can choose to have the smaller prints of Robins or Gonks on both sides of the cushion covers. These cushions are made in a 40cm x 40cm size costing £18 each including a feather or microfibre inner or £12 for the cover only. If you prefer a smaller cushion to decorate a bed or small chair then pick the smaller prints on both sides.
I also have a vast selection of other fabrics available if you are looking for a non Christmasy design.
