A small collection of boxes I absolutely did not need, but very much needed.
A few recent flea market finds, unpacked.

A very warm day at Roomytown last week. Product reviews, colour decisions, a brief encounter with the inventory spreadsheet, and several attempts to find the coolest corner of the office.

Found these at Marché aux Puces de la Porte de Vanves …
Early 1900s luggage labels, worn at the edges, each one a little journey in itself.
Vanves It’s open Saturdays and Sundays (rare for a flea market… and very dangerous for me) A must for any vintage lover in Paris

I wanted a little flower arrangement this morning and realised the garden is full of hellebores right now… so I ended up cutting a few and reminding myself of a few tricks that really help them last in a vase.

I usually pick the more mature flowers — the ones that have already lost the stamens in the middle — they hold much better indoors.

Then I slit the stems and put them in tepid water (not cold).

They’re such a good in-between flower this time of year, when winter is nearly over but there still isn’t much else to cut in case you are over daffodils already!
