🎬 Buildings Not Fixed by Their Boundaries
Episode 2: The Link
To unify 1 Welbeck and 33 Wigmore, we designed more than a passage — we designed a conversation between two buildings.
📐 The Concept Design
At Levels 5 and 6, a new steel-framed link will span the courtyard, connecting both properties while preserving their distinct architectural identities. The design is deliberate, respectful, and refined.
🔳 Material Language
Clad in zinc panels and curtain walling, the link speaks the architectural language of both buildings. It reflects the zinc cladding of 1 Welbeck and complements the rear curtain wall of 33 Wigmore — two façades, one dialogue.
🔲 Scale & Proportion
The link mirrors the floor heights of each building, ensuring a seamless internal flow. Two storeys. Clean lines. Maximum integration.
🔍 Transparency & Detailing
Extensive glass minimises the visual impact — making the link feel light, floating, and unobtrusive.
Every joint, frame, and junction is crafted with precision to ensure cohesion and longevity.
🏢 Purposeful Design
Internally, the link offers adaptable, future-ready floorspace, unlocking new workspace potential for tenants and landlords alike.
This is architecture that connects more than buildings.
It connects ambition, functionality, and future vision.
