Last week was MANIC! Dodging rainstorms and preparing the field for our first PYO day. 🌸

And it doesn’t stop as we head straight into with some florist orders this morning AND a cheeky visit from my little girls Brownie troop this evening! Bug hunting and seed planting will definitely be on the cards!

I’m also looking forward to some heat as the temps are set to rise ever so slightly! 🙏

That everyone else is finding it easier.
That everyone else has it figured out.

Most of the time, that’s not true. (I really do keep telling my brain this but it doesn’t listen!)

Planning a wedding and thinking about arranging your own flowers?

Bookings are now open for 2027 DIY wedding flowers from Wirral Flower Farm.

We grow seasonal, British flowers here on our farm and supply buckets of freshly picked blooms and foliage for couples who would like to create their own wedding flowers, whether that’s bouquets, buttonholes, table arrangements or buckets of flowers for friends and family to arrange together.

DIY flowers can be a lovely way to make your wedding more personal while helping to keep costs down.

All flowers are grown here on the farm and supplied ready for collection in the days before your wedding.

There are some flowers that stop you in your tracks, and for me, ranunculus are one of them. And our big plan for 2027 is to grow approx 10,000 stems of these beauties 🌸🫶

For a few short weeks each spring, the field fills with these gorgeous blooms that have been our most sought after flowers yet!

Our Ranunculus Special Workshop is designed to celebrate that moment in the season.

You’ll spend an afternoon on the flower farm learning how we grow these beautiful flowers, harvesting blooms at their best, and creating your own seasonal arrangement to take home.

It’s a workshop for flower lovers, gardeners, and anyone who simply wants to immerse themselves in spring flowers for a few hours.

Early bird tickets for Spring 2027 are now available at £55, with the price increasing to £65 from September.

The truth is there isn’t one perfect answer.

The flower field changes every week, and different flowers reach their peak throughout the season. Whether you’re dreaming of sweet peas in June or armfuls of dahlias in September, there’s something different to discover each time you visit.

OVERWHELMED 🤯
This is my current constant state. The feeling like I still have millions of things to plant out, which I’m never going to get done before the end of May.

I’m still pricking out seedlings. And currently comparing myself to everyone on insta that seems to have it well under control. Other businesses doing more, that just seem ‘better’ in every way!

But I had a few conversations with people yesterday and I’m definitely not alone. Lots of people are still planting out, lots of people have had their gyp eaten by slugs and other disasters along the way. They just aren’t showing them.

So please don’t look at my posts and think Jen has this nailed.
I really don’t 🤣🫠
I’m just a really hard working human. But a human nonetheless. The same way you are feeling, I’m right there with you.
