💛 Wow… where do we even begin?! 💛

Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming Brandon from St Elizabeth Hospice back into The Craftery to help us count up all of the money raised from our Craft Taster Day and raffle.

We are absolutely blown away to share that together we raised a whopping £600! 🎉✨

This truly was a community effort and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Huge thank you and shout out to…

🎨 Our wonderful artists and makers, who donated such beautiful handmade pieces for our raffle. And for buying lots of tickets! Your kindness and generosity were incredible 🥰

🧁 Wendy’s son and daughter-in-law, who very kindly baked the delicious cakes that received so many generous donations and compliments of course!

🎟️ Every single person who bought raffle tickets, made a donation, enjoyed a slice of cake and a cuppa, tried out one of our crafts or simply came along to support us. We sold well over two full books of raffle tickets!

💛 Wendy’s daughter, Abbie, who completely saved the day by jumping in to help us. We had absolutely no idea just how busy the day was going to be, and we honestly couldn’t have managed without her!

One of the things Wendy and I love most about The Craftery is seeing people come together. This wasn’t just about raising money; it was about kindness, community, generosity, and supporting a charity that means so much to so many people.

To every single person who played a part in helping us reach this incredible total… thank you. Together, we have raised £600 for St Elizabeth Hospice, and we couldn’t be prouder. 🥰

What an amazing reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for a good cause. 💛

These 4 lovely ladies joined me this afternoon and we had so much fun painting this beautiful underwater scene! 🎨🐠🌊

After finishing our 4-week Watercolour Course last week, we all decided we weren’t quite ready to say goodbye! 🥰 So now we get to meet once a week to continue our watercolour journey together, learn new techniques, build our confidence, and create a little bit of watercolour magic each week.

Watching everyone grow in skill, confidence, and creativity over the last few weeks has been such a joy. Today’s underwater scenes were absolutely beautiful, and every single one had its own unique style and personality 💙

What a wonderful day in the shop today! 🥰

Despite the rather random weather, we spent a lovely afternoon getting creative with clay! ✨

June, Ruth and Lisa made some beautiful botanical prints, flower jar lids, and lots of other gorgeous creations. We also tried out a new air-dry clay that we all absolutely loved! 🤩

Now comes the hard part… waiting for everything to dry so we can get them painted! 🎨

We also have some exciting news! 💛

Our air-dry clay classes are changing from next month!

From July, we’ll be running two clay sessions each month. These relaxed, creative sessions will give you the freedom to either make your own ideas or follow our guidance and project suggestions.

Even better, you’ll be able to finish, decorate, and paint the pieces you made on the previous class too 🎨🌿

Whether you’re completely new to clay or already catching the clay bug like we are, we’d love for you to come and join us.

A few pics from this afternoons pyrography class, just myself and Nicky, Nicky has attended my beginners drawing class and im so happy to see she's been practising, which actually helped with her fabulous pyrography artwork she created. Its so lovely when customers return for more classes. Thoroughly enjoyed this afternoons class while munching our way through some delicious strawberries 🍓 😋

🎨✨ Week One Complete! ✨🎨

It was week one of our Watercolour Course for these fabulous ladies yesterday, and what a lovely afternoon we had! 🥰

It’s safe to say there were quite a few “aha!” moments as techniques started to click into place and the magic of watercolour began to reveal itself. 🎨💦

We explored the foundations of watercolour, learned about materials, and had plenty of opportunities to play, experiment, and discover what happens when we let go of perfection and simply enjoy the process.

The best part? Watching everyone find the fun in watercolour already! 🤩

I can’t wait to see where their creative journey takes them over the next three weeks. 💛
