I’m away and there’s lots of sugar flying around due to Halloween!

I’ve baked some treats for the trick or treaters to help themselves to this evening!

Warning… this post contains the ‘C’ word (and it’s long…sorry!)

I have to plan ahead for Christmas cakes this year. Each year I make more so I’ve got to be organised!

I’m always honest with my posts and baking and due to increasing costs you will notice the price of the cakes have increased too (I promise I’m not being greedy!)

Individual port infused Christmas cakes topped with marzipan, fondant icing and holly leaf decoration… £6 each or 2 for £10.
They are perfect for gifting!

Like last year I am asking you to preorder so I can organised. In order to give the cakes a drink please can you have your order in by the 15th November. I’m asking for payment on pre order please by cash or bank transfer (details in the image below).

I’ve put order forms in the cupboard and when completed please pop them through the letter box. I’ll drop you a message to let you know I’ve received it!

Cakes will be ready to collect on the 12th December from the cupboard or by pre-arranged collection (message me to organise).

This week’s cupboard bakes:
-Spider cookies! Chocolate chip cookies as a base, spider decoration on top! £1.80 each 🕷️🕸️

-Apple flappy! Caramelised apples with a flapjack topping, a perfect autumn pudding. It’s a 2 person sharing portion really but I won’t judge you if you eat the full tin yourself! Perfect for freezing. £3 each

Sunday cupboard…
1 lonely pecan pie brownie and a handful of chocolate tortes left in the cupboard today!

This week’s cupboard bakes:
-Chocolate Torte- a rich chocolate ganache on a digestive biscuit base. Charlotte sized portion so it could be shared! £3.00 each!
I made this for a dessert at the advent lunch last year and 3 people asked me for the recipe!

-Pecan Pie brownie- a rich fudgy chocolate brownie with a caramelised pecan topping- £2.50
I spied this recipe when I was judging a cowboy themed cooking competition for Yorkshire Young Farmers in May and have only just got round to giving it a go now!

On the 14th November Craddock’s Cake Cupboard is going on the road!

We are not going far however… just to Kirklington Village Hall for our first ever stall!

Anyone around tonight?!

Our local pub is holding its annual Harvest Home auction… lots of goodies up for grabs such as home grown fruits and vegetables, handmade items and home made baking!

From 6pm at The Black Horse Inn, Kirklington

I kept two of each cupboard bake back to donate to the auction!

-Mint slice-£2.20 each. Biscuit base, mint layer, topped with Cadburys chocolate!

-Apple and blackberry frangipane- basically an Autumn Bakewell tart! £2.50 each
