At the Craft show in Farnborough, lots of people asked me how long I’ve been doing this. 6 years sounds like a long time but it’s gone in a flash! Life happens…births, deaths and everything in between. This year has been about stepping back and resetting. I can’t wait to show you what I’m working on next and I’m excited about the future of Thread and Mercury!

What an amazing show to be part of, thank you The Creative Craft Show for having me!

Not too shabby for a last minute addition but I’ve learnt a lot about what I will do next time and I’m inspired to go big or go home!

I’m still here I promise, Thread and Mercury is still alive and kicking! The shop is open, life has just got in the way of my social media posting. I’ve been enjoying family life but constantly thinking about Thread and Mercury and picking up pockets of inspiration as I go.

My biggest dilemma was what direction to take Thread and Mercury and what to design next. Hopefully I have it decided and have been working on two new designs for next year which I’m very excited about!

Some pics of inspiration I’ve taken on my mini adventures. Including a rug which I fell in love with and seriously contemplated steeling it from the air bnb we stayed in 😂

It’s been so long since I posted, do we still have to do hashtags?🤣

So here it is, the finished double sided bag! I attached some leather thonging to clip on a removable bag strap so it can also be used as a clutch bag. Which side is your favourite? And more importantly, would you like to see this as a full kit or just downloadable pattern?
