Hello and welcome!

My name is Terri Carroll and I’m the slow-knitting, tea drinking, toddler-wrangling, colour-slinging fibre artist behind indie yarn label Fine Fish Yarns. What began as the extension of a hobby (knitting!) quickly progressed in to a passion not only for fantastic colour but also for natural, luxurious fibres. Drawing inspiration from literature, pop culture and toddler musings I dye yarns that are multi layered, kaleidoscopic, intense, complex, inspired and really fun to knit with.

Some big changes around these parts.

13 months ago I submitted my ucas application. Next week, at 34 years old, I begin my mental health nursing degree. Half excited, half sh****ng myself ✌🏻

What does this mean for Fine Fish Yarns? Well as you may have noticed, I haven’t been very active recently. I needed a break from burnout. I’m not going away though! I had planned some things for this new year but schools being closed delayed that a little. I’ll hopefully be doing smaller, once a month 🤞🏻 mini updates. Stay tuned!

There is so much suri in the shop at the minute, all on sale 🎉 I think there is some slub left too. Slub yarn is definitely my favourite 😍
