Some changes arrive suddenly, without ceremony.
Recovery teaches you how to walk through them.
This week marked my first longer outdoor walk around the ‘Gorms since getting the boot off after a recent fall & fracture. There’s a particular clarity that comes when the body starts moving again, a sense that recovery isn’t just physical, but emotional too.

The NHS & physio have been anchors in that process, steadying the parts of life that felt shaken.
The pavements were uneven, the road was quiet, & the air felt like a reset. A “ head showered”moment.

It’s impossible to ignore that this recovery has been happening alongside another kind of disruption-sudden redundancy.
That kind of silence leaves its own mark.
However, walking again, feeling the ground under me, reminded me that transitions don’t define me; how I move through them does.
This stage is about processing, not rushing.
I hope to step into a creative network where expression, connection & dignity matter.
Art holds the parts of the story that work couldn’t. Sundays are for decompressing, for gathering myself before the week ahead, & for honouring the grit it takes to rebuild with grace.

With grace & grit,

Samradh na nGael!
Hot Gael summer! 🌞😎

My art is part of Féile an Phobail visual arts exhibition.
This is a free event held at St Mary's University College - Belfast

It runs til Thurs 6th Aug!
I feel privileged to be part of the Irish artistic community & this year it’s the largest ever event featuring around one hundred & twenty artists.
I’m glad to be able to use this space to be experimental/progress my skills/network & appreciate the stories & artworks.
It’s great to see a variety of work & there has been a lot of support & encouragement from the public.
Go raibh maith agaibh 🎉 for the effort from all the artists & organisers!

Magic is afoot!

“Everything stops for tea!Let’s have a fairy soirée!”

I invite you into the realm where Ireland's spirit comes alive through my lens.
Blending creativity alongside my use of the Irish language is a privilege. Is í an Ghaeilge mo chroí agus mo chnámh.
With grace & grit my work seeks to stir the soul & inspire wanderlust.

Watch this space!

Belfast is the only UNESCO City of Music on the island of Ireland, and in less than one week‘s time it hosts the biggest celebration of Irish music on earth. That’s not a coincidence: it’s a city that earned both.

In the Clar programme, and on the official Fleadh site, we’ve written about what that designation actually means here: a music scene built in many rooms at once, from traditional sessions to electronic basements, where a fiddle player might share a bill with a producer and the person running the venue is still carrying gear when everyone else has gone home. As the piece puts it, music is one of Belfast’s great civic languages, and the Fleadh is arriving in a city that’s more than ready to speak it.
