One of the biggest misconceptions we come across is that people think they need a bigger kitchen.

We've seen very large kitchens that don't work particularly well and smaller kitchens that work brilliantly.

The difference is usually in the planning, not the size.

One of the most common requests we hear is: "I want as much storage as possible."

Storage matters, but filling every wall with cabinetry can often make a kitchen feel smaller and more enclosed. Good design is about balance.

Sometimes a little less storage, combined with the right features and materials, creates a space that feels far better to live in.

For years, kitchen design was all about sharp lines, cool tones and ultra-minimal spaces.

Now we're seeing something different.

Warm wood finishes, textured materials, softer lighting and richer colours are finding their way back into modern kitchens.

The result is a space that still feels contemporary, but far more comfortable to live in every day.

Good design isn't just about how a kitchen looks. It's about how it makes you feel when you're in it.

A first look at the new Eclos surface range from Cosentino.

A mineral hybrid surface with no silica, available in gloss, semi-gloss and matte finishes - all with full-body veining running throughout the material.

Clean, contemporary and something we’re looking forward to bringing into the showroom soon.

John’s favourite detail in this kitchen?

The way the matte black finish creates a seamless look across the entire space.

The integrated fridge, storage, black AEG appliances and hidden extraction all combine to give the kitchen real presence without feeling overdone.

Currently available as part of the showroom evolution.

One of John’s favourite features in this kitchen is the 360° corner storage.

Instead of losing space in the corner, the entire system rotates making everything easier to access and far more practical day to day.

This display kitchen is currently available as part of the showroom evolution. If you’ve been considering a new kitchen, it’s worth seeing in person.

A well-designed kitchen isn’t just about how it looks. It’s about how naturally everything works together.

The best prep areas usually keep the key functions close together:
– sink
– chopping space
– dishwasher
– waste bins

Small decisions like this make the kitchen feel easier to use every single day.

Photos can help you collect ideas, but properly understanding a kitchen means experiencing it in person.

Because how a space feels day to day is something a screen can’t fully show.

A lot of kitchen budgets get pushed towards the visible finishes first.

But the things that usually shape how the space feels long term are the parts people don’t immediately see:
– storage
– lighting
– internal organisation
– appliance performance
– layout

Good kitchen design isn’t just about where money gets spent. It’s about knowing where quality matters most.
